Mark Cuban has released thousands of internet hacking robots

That's the only way I can explain the bizarre All Star voting.  I know that it would be far fetched to think that one of our beloved Blazers would make the fan vote (with any luck some of this Roy-love could help with a coaches pick), but to have both Terry and Jerry Freaking Stackhouse above Roy is mind-numbingly ridiculous.  Only to be outdone with Eric "I only play in contract years" Dampier ahead of LMA.  What are your thoughts on Dallas getting their scrubs on the all star list?

Quick's blog on the second results:

Could Starbury's Fallout be to the Blazer's Benefit?

I'm sure you have read recently that Stephon Marbury has recently left the Knicks team during their West Coast road trip.  An article from Chris Sheridan states that even though he has a bloated contract, Stephon's trade value is $20 million coming off the books in 2009.

Here is what concerns me: We are looking at being major players in 2009 with Francis and LaFrentz coming off the books.  Whoever picks up Marbury will be in a great position to bid us up on whatever free agents we have our eye on (some interesting names in Sheridan's article, can you image Igoudala on our squad?  Roy at point, Martell at the 2?)  We could be in the best shape if we trade Darius, LaFrentz, and Jack to New York for Marubury and Freddie Jones.  Something to think about at least.

Any Fantasy Basketball Geeks Here?

It's that time for me to start getting projected stats and whatnot in order for upcoming drafts (yes, that was plural and yes I do have a life).  I stumbled across BasketballMonster.com a couple of years ago, with player projections and the all important trade analysis (for when you are trying to trade assists for rebounds!) and just got the pre-season projections.

Interestingly enough, LMA & Roy are back to back (rated 49th & 50th overall).
They project LMA to play 80 games at 17.8PPG, 8.7RPG, and 2.0 Blocks.
Roy is projected to play 70 games and get 20.3 PPG, 4.3RPG, and 4.6APG.
Only other worthy note is that they predict Outlaw will average 14.9PPG

Anyone else get projected stats by players?

Portland: Off Season Loser-ISH?

Hollinger posted the other half of his article today:
http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/insider/columns/story?columnist=hollinger_john&page=offseasondecl iners
Though he raves about our future, we are stuck just on the wrong side of the list at 18th overall.  His big argument is losing Zach and will Oden replace that offense.  I think it should be looked at as can LMA & Oden match ZBo & Joel, which I think everyone can agree yes.  Furthermore, the defense upgrade we get with our new lineup should be an even bigger boost.  Some crud about Jack & Blake + losing Ime...but overall I think we are in the wrong report (even if we do not make it back to the playoffs, we will on paper be better than last year).
Thoughts?
