Now that the 08/09 offseason movement is most probably completed, it is my humble opinion that the sense of loss we are all feeling with the untimely passing of b-dizzle is not born from a concern of a disappointing season per-say, but more of a dramatic shift in identity that may shape the rooting interests of some fair weather fans. I personally take solace in the fact that in three years it would take a miracle for the clips to make the playoffs and if things go even partially well for us, we should be a staple for years to come. Don't get me wrong, it does make for some interesting dialogue, but i think most of the collective dismay has been spurned by an emotional response. Logically, and if you have been loyal to this franchise for any length of time, it is my opinion that the team is in a position to be more structurally flexible, and in a position to be better for a longer period of time than if baron hadn't opted out. Please don't misunderstand, however. Baron will be missed, but it is merely an emotional response to an unemotional business.
