Trade Drawer (Includes Chris Paul trade in every box!)
While looking for a legal trade for either Chris Paul or Steve Nash that uses Portland’s most likely trade assets, Miller’s, Camby’s and Joel’s soon to be expiring contracts, I failed but did come across this interesting combo trade involving all three teams. Portland would receive back 2 serviceable centers to replace the ones being traded and I believe that Phoenix would be willing to trade a draft pick or two for the right to dump salary in this trade.

Where is Steven Hill? ESPN trade machine does not list him on the Thunder roster. Good shot blocker.
Free Tickets sacremento game only
Cann't make the game tonight and don't want my seats to be empty. First person to email me and commit to picking up the tickets (near 185th and hi way 26) can have them. I can also use the Blazers website to transfer the tickets to you so you can print them out but I've been told that system doesn't work well so you need to be able to come get them if that will not work. Go Blazers.
Joe Smith signs with Hawks for veterans minimum.
Joe Smith signs for 1 year 1.2mil. This was the guy Portland needed at PF both on and off the court. If I understand correctly the Blazers have 1mil to spend now and will have 2.7 to spend at the start of the season. To bad they didn't have just another 200k to pick this guy up before the hawks did. [UPDATE: As blazerfansince1970 posts, any team (even if going over the cap) can sign a player to the minimum veterans salary] Looking at the free agents left that could fill in as a reserve PF, I don't see anyone that would be useful to the Blazers save David Lee and he won't want to come off the bench and Portland can not afford him unless they give up players that they don't want to give up.
Sign Hedo Turkoglu?
Hedo Turkglu will be a free agent and I thought untouchable but reviewing last Mondays Courtside, both Mike's agreed that he will not be resigning with Orlando. Anyone know why they would be certain about that?
Antonio estimated his worth at $10mil a year, which is more then the Blazers can offer a free agent given the likely cap space they will have. Assuming the Mike's are correct about Orlando not wanting or being able to afford resign him, do you want the Blazers to sign him? What scenario do you see the Blazers being able to afford him? Renounce more players? Which ones? Sign and lopsided trade?
I could imagine this as the most likely way to get him but not certain Orlando would play along. Lopsided sign and trade involving Outlaw. Hedo's 10mil - Outlaw 3.9 = 6.1mil which I think will nicely fit under the salary cap therefore a legal trade. If Orlando would do it they would be looking to cut salary and replace Hedo with someone that they pay a lot less but is worthwhile. Do you think Orlando would do this? Would KP? Is this the way you want the cap space spent?
If you are interested in sharing a 1/2 season ticket set, email me at mrwonderfulone@gmail.com. I hope this is appropriate for a fanshot. I've read the post for new bedgers and did not see anything that addressed this one way or another.
Season ticket partner(s) wanted.
I'm buying 1/2 season tickets for 2 seats again this year but need partner(s) to share with. If you commit now, you can either have one ticket to all the games I receive, or two tickets to half the games I receive, or some combination thereof. There will be 44 home games (counting preseason) therefore 22 games to a 1/2 season package. You can take 2 seats to 11 games. Or one seat to 22 games. Also flexible on the seat location. Don't let pricing scare you. Season tickets can be as low as $9 a seat. One seat, 22 games is only $198! 22 nights of entertainment for $198 cann't be beat!
ESPN Daily Dime: Jarret Jack's highest scroring week of his career
Jack Piles Up Big Numbers
By Elias Sports Bureau

• Jarrett Jack capped the highest-scoring week of his NBA career with a game-high 28 points in the Pacers' 100-94 win over the Nuggets. Jack, who started the week with a career-high 33-point performance at Madison Square Garden, averaged 23.8 points in four games over the seven days that ended on Sunday. It Jack's highest scoring average for any seven-day span in his four-year NBA career.
Updated: I could tolerate Blaze if it/he didn't assault fans.
There was a quick 4 second clip last Sunday(Feb. 15) of Blaze putting pie in the face of a fan. I was curious so I used my dvr to show it in slow-mo. The young unsuspecting woman;s ‘crime’ may have been that her sweatshirt had a about 4 inch Kings logo on the belly. The Blazers were not playing the Kings. To get the pie in her face, Blaze held her right shoulder with his left hand while smacking her in the face with the pie tin. This knocked her uncontrollably into her seat as she reached with her left to pull the tin out of her face. You can see she was knocked into her seat (not simply sitting down) because you see her body bounce up and down in the seat at least twice. Then she immediately has to open her mouth to breathe because the pie had drenched her so thoroughly she could no longer breathe through the nose.
I consider this no less a crime than punching them in the face without the pie and pie tin. But worse because it was done for a voyeuristic crime effect, solely done for the purpose of capturing the crime on media for the supposed pleasure of viewers… like a snuff film.
Aside from being an assault. It is stupid, not funny and undeserved. That fan could very well have been a Blazer fan. I wear clothes of logos all the time that I’m not a fan of. I buy them because I need the type of clothing and its cheap at the good will. I have a Wisconsin sweatshirt and a lacrosse jersey for a eastern College team. I’m not a fan of either and don’t care for lacrosse.
Even if she was not a Blazer fan. Is that anyway to treat a paying guest? Would they like if the ever growing number of Blazer fans that go to away games were treated like that?
It’s supposed to be funny because we’ve all seen it done in films. I’ve got news. The films are staged. They are not reality. Films do things like carefully staged special effects but only idiots would try to duplicate in real life.
Films also do things when they think are funny but no one in the audience does. Remember that long run of films that had a chase scene where a fruit stand got smashed? For years producers/directors thought they had to put this in because they thought the audience thought it was funny. It took someone to speak up and question one of them on it before the industry learned that no one in the audience thought it was funny, it was really LAME.
The same holds here. The Blazers think they are doing something funny but it is LAME. But even worse them LAME, worse than badly treating a guest , Blazer fan or not. it is assault which is a crime. It is no less a crime because lame movie producers have staged such events thinking the audience would find it entertaining.
When I used to go to games in the nineties, the Blazers would obviously stage events where a supposed ‘fan’ of the opposite team in the audience would get the butt end of a joke. But there was never any doubt the ‘fan’ was an acting out a role, and I don’t think that they were ever subjected to a surprise knock down punch in the face.

Update.... The moment you've been waiting for has arrived. As promised I called the Blazers to see if I could wring out a confession from Jail Blaze the Criminal Cat. But I was thwarted by one of his co-conspirator flappers. Warning: this conversation may not be suitable for all audiences because 1/2 of it is 'staged'. It went loosely like this.
Mr. Wonderfulone: "Are the depictions of criminal assault by Blaze staged?"
Blaze lackey: "They usually are."
Mr. Wonderfulone: "How does he select his victims?"
Blaze lackey: "The last one was one of our employees."
Mr. Wonderfulone: "I saw Jail Blaze assault a young woman in a Kings jersey at the Kings game a week ago Sunday."
Blaze lackey: "What?!"
Mr. Wonderfulone: "Yea. It was done under the cover of a valentines day celebration."
Blaze lackey: "Oh you mean the Thunder game on Wednesday the 11th. That was one of our employees."
Mr. Wonderfulone: "Whatever... Could you tell Blaze to meet me and 'BigMacAttackin' in the alley before the next game?'
Blaze lackey: "He never leaves the Rose Garden in costume."
Mr. Wondefulone: "He must have learned that from too many fans trying to pound sand in is *ss. I got a furry stuffed cat named "fluffy". She sexy in a stuffed animal kind of way. I'm bringing her to the next game. I think she could lure Blaze into the alley. Me and "BigMacAttackin" got scores to settle. 'BigMacAttackin' is going to poor popcorn on his head while we rub butter and kernals into his fir. Then I'm going to have to cut him becuase I think staged violence is criminal."
Blaze lackey: "He sucks. I'll bring a case of silly string. "

Kobe Stopper available...
Mr Rueben Patterson. Lets cut this guy we have coming from the Kings and sign a guy who can play some D, stop Kobe and can take a punch from Zach. His coming out of unintentional retirement will Kobe nightmares. He won't be able to sleep for seeing a court full of Ruebens on the court, pressing him, behind him, in front of him, beside him, laughing at him. A giant Rueben, stepping on him! The Western Conference Championship is ours!
Blazers more likely to win the NW division
For the first time this year, Hollinger's play-off odds has the Blazers more likely than any other team to win the division. The predicted season finale has them in a three way tie for 2nd place.
