If you love baseball, this is a show you will want to see.
Trevor Hoffman was in Denver last week to receive the Branch Rickey award for his incredible service to the San Diego community. Hoffman was interviewed by Steffan Tubbs (long-time San Diego fan) for a show that will air Wednesday night (Nov 26) at 8 p.m. on channel 12 (KBDI).
I previewed the show. It is awesome. It's especially cool when he demonstrates how he developed and honed his skill with his phenomenal changeup. He talked about baseball, their 1998 World Series (and the team's 10-year reunion), his free agency and his desire to get to 600 saves before he retires and just LOTS of stuff.
The Rockies' Jim Kellogg also was on the show talking about the Rockies -- and yes, he touched a bit on Matt Holliday. Branch Rickey, grandson of "Mr. Baseball" Branch Rickey (a native of Colorado Springs) also is on the show. If you don't know the name Branch Rickey, he is the man who broke the color barrier bringing in Jackie Robinson back in 1947. Hearing his grandson talk about those times was really cool.
Catch it if you can. If you love baseball as much as I do, you will really enjoy it.
