I was born and raised a Cubs fan. As I age, I generally appreciate baseball and am saddened by the steroids era. Met my husband at a Mariner's Singles Night event (no lie! - we both work in Portland, but met in Seattle). Wedding favors were peanuts & cracker jacks and the cake cutting song was Take Me Out the Ballgame.
Favorite players include Raul Ibanez, Jamie Moyer, Carlos Zambrano, Ichiro, and I really am loving the "new" guys on the Ms - Branyan, Chavez (ouch, injury!), Woodward, etc. Jeff and I call Wakamatsu "Fozzie" (after the muppet character - Waka, waka, waka). He was a FANTASTIC addition to the Mariners.
