Bid Favre Adieu
I think Viking management should move on and acquire a young QB that will play at a high level for years to come. Favre is a great QB but is prone to bonehead plays like the last minute INT against the Saints. The good teams all have young QB's that will provide solid play for many seasons ahead. As much as I respect Favre I think it is time for management to tell him thanks for the effort but it is time we move in a different direction. Bring in a talented young QB that we all can hitch our wagon to.
PURPLE MISERY
Another sad ending for all Viking fans. Favre did it again, threw another untimely INT in the NFC Championship Game. Now I know how those Packer fans must have felt in 2007. Hopefully we can get a young QB that will eventually lead this team to the promised land. Childress has to accept some blame for the 12 man huddle and poor decision making in the final minute of regulation. Maybe we also need a new head coach.
New Stadium
We need a new stadium to insure the Vikings stay in Minnesota. We are #30 in the NFL in total revenue and have to rely on other teams to survive financially. This can't go on forever and I hope the fans realize this and get a referendum to build a new stadium or our beloved team may be relocated to California. We need our local leaders to act now to insure that our team stays in Minnesota.
Favre is a Distraction
Brett Favre has become a distraction with his selfish attitude. The focus should be on our team and not on one prima donna QB who thinks he knows better than the coach. Childress was hired as head coach and should be making game decisions instead of Favre. Adrian Peterson is the back bone of that offense and needs more carries per game for the team to make it to the Super Bowl. I hope Favre starts to put the team ahead of his own selfish interests.
