Sippin' On Purple Coble feuded with Carmody!

Apparently Coble had a fued with Carmody which caused him to leave. Is this Carmodys fault/do you think NU's getting the extra attention due to wrigley game?

This disappoints me and makes me feel like Carmody could have done more to keep Coble around... for all his defensive woes, hes still a hell of a player.

check it out - its on the front page of si.com

Sippin' On Purple NU is Ranked!

Congrats to all of you Wildcat fans out there!

This is the moment we have all been waiting for as NU football faithfuls over the whole season.

The USA today poll has ranked NU as the #25 team in the nation... while the AP top 25 is still not convinced this is still great news!

I am sure Rodger will add in a nice article about this tomorrow, but hopefully this can do for now!

Screw the AP!

Go Cats!

CelticsBlog Lakers-Suns game 1

Hey Guys,

I dont know about you all, but I am absolutely livid about game 1 of this series. I cannot STAND how much ESPN sucks up to Koby and theres nothing more that I want to do then shut their mouths.

After 08 I remember Sasha Vujicek saying that he hated the Celtics soo much that he refused to even wear the color green the entire summer after the 08 championship...

I know its too early to project, but lets be honest, if all goes to plan this will be another classic celtics/lakers series... and you know what?

I want to beat down on the Lakers moer than I want the Sox to beat down on the Yankees.

THIS ENTIRE postseason everyone has counted out the Celtics... but you know what, when it comes to the finals, the Celtics are going to collectively want it more than Pau Gasol. And trust me, come finals time, you are going to see the big 5 rise to the occasion... whose the 5th member you ask... that would be my man 'sheed... you either love him or you hate him... and to be frank, this will be his time to shine... I call the Celtics in 6... and maybe then we can finally hear the media speak about how good the celtics are, rather then how bad the teams screw up who they beat...

Mark my words: I HATE THE LAKERS

CelticsBlog Need your help!

Hey guys, so I am a die hard celtics fan, and my latest job has me stationed in India... Anyways, Its been killing me to have to read the recaps and the 1 second clips... guys I would have done anything to see Rajons performance in game 4...

Anyways, I was wondering if one of you could help me by letting me know what network has been covering the NBA in the US. I think that maybe I could then get to watch the games through ATHDE.net?

I would be very greatful for any of your help!

CelticsBlog Ryan Gomes is finding success

Hey guys, I just found this link showing that our buddy Ryan Gomes is really thriving in his role at SF for the Wolves. In a season where Minni lost their top performer and leader - former Celtics Al Jefferson, Gomes is one of the few bright spots for the Wolves.

http://www.nba.com/2009/news/03/13/gomes.emergence.ap/index.html

I wish the best of luck to Gomes, I just wish he was back on the Celt's roster.

Any shot at resigning him once his contract is up?

CelticsBlog Jameer Nelson Injured

Hey guys, if you check out ESPN.com Jameer Nelson got injured tonight in the Magics game against the Dallas Mavricks. The link states that he dislocated his shoulder, which seems like a similar type of injury at Perk had. Since Perk was out 6-7 games, do you think Rondo or Ray Ray could be chosen to replace him in the All Star Game?

CelticsBlog Antoine Walker Caught For Drunk Driving

Hey guys so it seems like our buddy Antoine just lessened his chances of returning to a team this year. Check out the article below.

Note: The main topic in the article is about a Northwestern football player, but scroll down and you will see Antoine mentioned in the sub-article.

I think its a shameful way to end a great career for him. Would anyone still want Antoine back under the stipulation that he could help solve our big man woes?
