Mirza is clearly a better offensive factor than Plumlee

Given his level of play at this point, I don't know how much more minutes KG would or should play
Commented on Mason Plumlee feeling comfortable at power forward on Aug 20 2014, 1:39a
Well when the best argument is that everyone else got in, that should make people think twice about voting him in

Nets only have to win the division to totally flip whatever scenario is out there
Commented on Nets slated to finish eighth in the East by ESPN on Aug 11 2014, 2:53p - 3 replies
And while JJ put up 20 point seasons consecutively, he was also doing that on pretty much 40 minutes a game

Don't think JJ deserves it

Maybe increase the minutes to his normal as the season goes on
Commented on Mason Plumlee wants to start for Brooklyn Nets? Should he? on Aug 10 2014, 12:18a
Would still like the Nets to add another "big" that can allow them to play small like Chris Singleton or Earl Clark

Even when healthy, Lopez is nowhere near the caliber of player to be a HOF or MVP level guy
Commented on Film Study: Can Lionel Hollins use Brook Lopez the way he did Marc Gasol? on Aug 8 2014, 2:44a - 2 replies
There has definitely been a bizarre lack of pick and roll play ever since Deron and Lopez have been on the same team, and hopefully that changes
Commented on Film Study: Can Lionel Hollins use Brook Lopez the way he did Marc Gasol? on Aug 8 2014, 2:40a - 3 replies
If you're gonna question mark their health, you could very well do the same with the Nets
Commented on Lionel Hollins: "Deron is healthy, Brook is healthy" on Aug 7 2014, 11:33p - 1 reply
Chicago is playingthat way because of Thibs and because they have the personnel
Commented on Lionel Hollins: "Deron is healthy, Brook is healthy" on Aug 7 2014, 11:31p
The Bulls were the 5th best offensive team in the league in 2011-12, and they were 11th the year before
Commented on Lionel Hollins: "Deron is healthy, Brook is healthy" on Aug 7 2014, 11:31p - 1 reply
Initially it seems crazy but it becomes more reasonable when you realize that Thad Young is only 2 years older than Plumlee
Commented on Lionel Hollins: "Deron is healthy, Brook is healthy" on Aug 7 2014, 10:29a
Waiters is absolutely not a good defender. That was his reputation coming out of college but his defense so far has been extremely poor
Commented on Lionel Hollins: "Deron is healthy, Brook is healthy" on Aug 7 2014, 10:26a - 1 reply
Even when healthy though, don't see this team being a serious threat to Chicago or Cleveland
Commented on Lionel Hollins: "Deron is healthy, Brook is healthy" on Aug 7 2014, 10:23a - 5 replies
Thompson doesn't really seem like he's going to amount to anything
Commented on Lionel Hollins: "Deron is healthy, Brook is healthy" on Aug 7 2014, 10:22a - 1 reply
Would still bet on the Bulls being the number 1 seed in the east as long as Rose doesn't go down again

We'll have to see what the final pieces are

Question is, will they STAY healthy?

MarShon out the league so soon

Biggest thing going against the Nets is having significant young and upcoming talent

LeBron isn't great, he's a top 2 player in the NBA. He can carry a team by himself if need be, you can't act like adding LeBron only improves your team by a little bit, it changes everything

They have LeBron

It's a gruesome injury, but it's now almost a full 12 hours ago
Commented on In game marred by Paul George's injury, Mason Plumlee shines on Aug 2 2014, 9:32a - 3 replies
Well at least if they perform poorly, they're in a position to add some much needed talent in the draft

I think George will be fine eventually

Biggest difference between Plumlee and Cousins
Commented on Team USA Basketball: Blue vs. White scrimmage Open Thread, 9:00 PM on Aug 1 2014, 10:24p - 1 reply
Plumlee averaged 18 minutes a game, finished top 5 in ROY voting, and there's a good reason not to leave him when he's an excellent finisher who converted 66% of his field goals last season
Commented on There are no good reasons to take Mason Plumlee over DeMarcus Cousins on Team USA on Aug 1 2014, 11:57a - 5 replies
Why is that all that matters?
Commented on There are no good reasons to take Mason Plumlee over DeMarcus Cousins on Team USA on Aug 1 2014, 11:50a - 1 reply
I don't know if the argument of talent outweights everything carries as much weight on a roster that's already littered with talent

He can play in the same style as those guys
