Stay and Sing Campaign
I do not know if this had been mentioned yet, but a new campaign has started on campus. Its the Stay and Sing Campaign. Here is the Facebook Link.
The campaign is directed at getting fans, mostly students, to stay through the end of the game and sing the Alma Mater. I personally think this is a great idea as usually our stadiums are mostly empty when the clock strikes 0:00. For all the work CMA and his team, and all Mizzou teams, have done, we owe it to stay through the end of the games and sing, "Old Missouri, Fair Missouri..."

Aldon Smith Declares
Aldon Smith declares for the draft
I need clarification...
Missouri and the Nebs both lost two games. Mizzou lost to Texas Tech and Nebraska both on the road. Nebraska lost at home to Texas and on the road at A&M.
I am having trouble understanding why people keep saying that Tech lost is so bad. Last time I checked they were bowl eligible. With Neb, they lost at home to a non-bowl eligible team. Why do the pollsters keep saying Nebraska's body of work is better than Mizzou's, by continuing to put us ahead of us in the polls....
I am just looking for a solid reason on why people rank Nebraska ahead of us...
In Response to...
Over at Rock Chalk Talk they have the Missouri Fact of the Day. Now the people that run that blog are just as passionate about their team as we are. So I was thinking we could do this as well, but that would be stooping to their level and that would also require us, Missouri Fans, to go out and have to do research on the state of Kansas. I don't want to waste my time on something like that, plus my computer could catch a virus or something. Therefore, I am going to keep it simple....
I. Hate. Kansas.

Homecoming Weather Forecast
Since I am a Meteorology at Mizzou I figured it would be a good opportunity for me to share my forecast with you, please remember I am still in school. I am a junior and I do work at the peacock palace in the weather dept. I figured I would just get the forecast out to those who wanted it.
Friday Evening (House Decs/Bar Hopping): Skies will be mostly cloudy. There will be scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms around. Does not not appear to be a total washout. Temps fall drop back into the lower 60s/upper 50s.
Early Saturday Morning (waiting for GameDay): Showers and thunderstorms move into the area. Rain will be widespread. It could be heavy at times. Temps will be in the mid to upper 50s This should be the wettest portion of Homecoming.
GameDay (8-11 am) As the show goes the rain should begin to taper off. A few showers will remain around. Skies will remain mostly cloudy. Temps will be in lower to mid 60s.
Parade: Some sun may begin to peak out. Clouds will linger. Temps will begin got rise. Expect temps in the mid to upper 60s.
Tailgating: Partly Cloudy. Clouds will linger as there is another chance of thunderstorms are possible. Temps should reach the lower 70s
Kickoff: Partly cloudy to Mostly cloudy. The thunderstorms should stay to the south but a shower is possible. Temps in the upper 60s. Temps will fall during the game so probably need a jacket/hoodie. cant rule out a poncho.
After party: Mostly cloudy and temps in the upper 50
Please remember I am a student. For the the best updated forecast:

Hint: He hit a long shot in Glendale Arizona, his freshman year.
Iowa State Flooding
Umm apparently Iowa States Basketball arena is underwater and I mean lots of water. They had the football team sandbagging around another building earlier today. Its a shame whenever a school has to deal with this. Please send good thoughts towards ISU.
A Letter From Mike Alden
This was just released!
UPDATE: FULL TEXT BELOW.
Dear Tiger Nation,
By now I'm sure you have learned of the departure of the University of Colorado and the University of Nebraska from the Big 12 Conference. There is no question that these moves are very impactful on our league. These are decisions by individual institutions following invitations and applications with the Pac-10 and the Big 10 Conferences. We've enjoyed longstanding relationships with both schools, and wish them nothing but the best in their future homes.
We are working diligently to maintain the long-term viability of the Big 12 Conference. Our focus has always been on our core values, and it will continue to remain as such. We have been open, honest, accessible and professional throughout these shifting landscapes. We will always handle ourselves in a professional manner. We are a first-class institution and a first-class athletic program.
We certainly understand the angst that this recent news has caused among our supporters. Please be confident that we are working tirelessly for the benefit of the University, for the Tigers and for the state of Missouri. When "the dust settles," Mizzou will be in a strong position nationally. We don't know the timeline of all of these activities, so your patience and commitment is appreciated. Many will look at this time as a challenge, but we will look at it as an unbelievable opportunity.
Thank you for your dedication to Mizzou. We will keep you informed of developments whenever we're able.

Sendoff for Team
Not sure if this has been mentioned or not but I received an email about this. There will be a public sendoff for the team. Here is the presser from the athletic department:
Columbia, Mo. - Missouri Basketball will host a public sendoff Wednesday morning at Mizzou Arena. The Tigers are expected to leave shortly before 11 a.m. on Wednesday and will board the buses in front of the south (administration) entrance to Mizzou Arena on the back side of the building.
Fans are encouraged to arrive at around 10:30 a.m. to wish their Tigers well as they travel to Buffalo, N.Y., to face the seventh-seeded Clemson Tigers on Friday.
Parking for the sendoff is available on the south side of Mizzou Arena in Lot P.
ESPN Real Tiger Story
YAY. I dont know if this has been discussed or not lol but I am 100% for it. Texas has their steak, Oklahoma their horse, and Colorado a buffalo. Why not us have a kitty on the field?! It can be placed right where the visiting team come out of!

The radio station Y107 is a big supporter of this cause. On Tuesday, Y107 was 80k votes behind. This morning went I went to work at KOMU they were about 50,000 votes behind. Well I just got back to my room and now they are in the lead. But we want them to stay their. All you have to do is go the link and register your email. And you can vote up to 10 per day / per email account. This whole process takes 5 minutes at most. Please help Y107 and Children's Hospital stay in first!
Thanks!

I was Trolling around on the Athletic Website
So I was procrastinating on some homework and was playing around the Mizzou Athletic Website and found this story under Coach Mike Anderson's Bio.
http://www.mutigers.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/110306aaa.html
Would any of you have envisioned we would be where we were 3 years ago?
My answer would have been no. 3 years ago I could not have named 5 players on the team. Now look at where we are....
Mizzou Still Gets No Love from Tim Griffin
This is my first fan post so hopefully its a decent one:
I came across this blog from ESPN's Tim Griffin. He is discussing the Big XII's decade and makes not one single remark on Mizzou or their players. Makes me like the the Big Ten even more.
Here is the link:
http://espn.go.com/blog/big12/post/_/id/9654/big-12-flourishes-during-its-first-full-decade
Anyone care to offer thoughts?
