Haven't posted on here in a long time but have a question for you guys...

I remember a couple years ago, someone on here posted a very detailed write up (this person was close to the program) about what exactly takes place at a typical two-a-day practice on the 40 acres.  It was a great read and I can't seem to find it in the fanpost archives.  Anyone have a link or know where it is?

I will be out of town during opening weekend but will have access to a laptop. 

I know going to a sports bar is probably the best option but does anyone know if channelsurfing.net broadcasts FSN regional?  And I remember people used to post the SOPcast URL's for last year's games.  Was wondering if someone could forward the site where they were posted

If anyone has any info on whether FSN games are usually available or not, it would be appreciated!

A poster on the Rivals Basketball Recruiting board said that his sources have indicated that Devin Ebanks will commit to Texas after his visit this weekend.  I've heard that Ebanks has a liking for Coach Barnes, but this is odd because the point man in Ebanks' recruitment, Ken McDonald, recently accepted another coaching job.

This dude also predicted the Greg Monroe recruitment to a T.

But that would definitely not suck!  Adding Ebanks to J'Covan Brown would put us in good shape for next year.  Especially with the loss of DJ Augustin.

Hope for the best, expect the worst...

The update about Colorado's in-home was posted and apparently the CU coaches made their pitch and told him they would completely re-design their offense for him.

The "all jobs open" policy seems to be in full effect after seeing some of hte press conference quotes.  

How cool would it be to actually see what the cupboard hold for the next couple years?  

Aside from the Linebacker debacle, if there was one player I want to see the most it's Chykie Brown.  Simply because we've NEVER seen him.  Curtis has seen a few snaps here and there, but i don't believe i've ever caught a glimpse of Chykie at DB.

I know a lot of people think this will never happen.  But this is a playoff scenario that I thought of just recently

Regardless of whether it will be implemented or not. Any feedback would be appreciated

Greg Davis needs to go back to the Zone Read and i love how he has been implementing it the last 2 games.  Colt has been running the ball effectively and Jamaal Charles' production has absolutely exploded.

Just wondering PB, is there a set time after each game that this section will be posted for us to comment on each of our kids? Or do we just commnent in the post game react?

But it seems that if GD uses a similar type of gameplan to what he implemented against OU.  This could still turn out to be a successful season for Colt. Alot of people think the entire scheme isn't fit for McCoy, but we saw in the 2nd half of last year that Colt can run this offense, if the RIGHT PLAYS ARE CALLED. And they showed it last saturday. If they keep mixing Chiles in, and taking advantage of some of our vertical routes, especially the seams to J-Mike.  Our running game will come around through this scheme.

It seemed like GD took some big steps in the popular demand to use the pass to set up the run.

If last saturday was any indication whatsoever of what this team's offense will look like for the rest of the year, then I am very excited. If not, then maybe I'm just plain wrong. Either way, I'd like to find out.

I've heard alot of clamoring that this Texas squad needs to be ranked a little lower so it would light some kind of "underdog" fire under their butts to motivate them and get them to play with some heart.  Perhaps having OU being so heavily favored is what this team needs to pull together and fire on all cylinders and come out playing with an attitude. Thoughts..?

I heard somewhere that J'Marcus webb and Roy Watts were trying to transfer back to Texas after their Juco stint.  anyone know if this is true? Please God let it be.  those are 2 players that have already had time to develop physically and would be ready to step in immediately.  Please God let it be true...

IT has become clear to me that the two main reasons for the demise of our title hopes are the petty and predictable offensive gameplan and the very, very, very, very green and very offensive offensive line.  Most of you will agree with these two, but I am not citing defense as a reason for our struggles.  Because at least we have stopped drives and gotten the ball back into the hands of our offense, even if the defensive personnel haven't stood out.
