Personally, please, please, please no. Seriously. Patriot OC's are 0-2 as head coaches. I will take a shot on Clements, rather than an OC from a team that has produced two horrible busts from coordinators turned head coaches.

Edit: Warning. This is an ESPN story. Read at your own risk.

Props to whoever did this.

We must have started listening to Pitt and cut everything so we could play them. In all seriousness, I wonder why we were left off.

HATE MONTH COUNTDOWN

26 Reasons Penn State is better than Florida

26. JoePa is less likely than Meyer to have a heart attack after a loss.

I almost feel bad for him at this point. But then I remember who he played for in college.

Edit: Oh god it gets better. Apparently he was replaced by Channing Crowder coming off the DL. Who is a native of State College.

Black Shoe Diaries Someone please explain this 4-6 loss idea.

All right, I know, I know.  The media freaking hates Penn State.  But everywhere, even Hilton is granting us at least 4 losses.  This is just mind boggling to me seeing how (and I think it was quoted here) discounting Iowa in 08 and 09 we haven't lost to a team we were favored to beat since 05.

We don't face Wisconsin.  No one else in the Big 10 should be better than us, or hell even on the same level, besides OSU and Iowa.  It just doesn't make a single bit of sense.

At this point, after all this negative talk, and everyone and their mother harping on JoePa (even though his contract goes past this year), I'm honestly wondering if the regional media is trying to just run him out of town.  I find it very sad when I feel Rittenberg is giving the most accurate prediction of how our season should go that I've seen.  It seriously feels like the entire sports news world is trying to write the program off, either out of spite, disdain, hope that Paterno won't kick their asses again...I don't really know.  There are always a couple silly articles, and the Pitt writers are pretty much always a lock for one or two, but the tone of everything this year seems...well, very hostile.  I mean, hell, Rich Rod, the Zooker, and Brewster are all in a far more perilous career position.  Paterno's corpse could probably out coach and could definitely out motivate them put together.  But this offseason seems to me as if everyone is just trying to hope and wish so hard to make it come true.

I guess the media guys think if they repeat something enough times it really will come true.
