12. Eric Gordon, Clippers
Gordon has not played since Nov. 7 due to a groin injury. But he was playing at a fairly high level before then, averaging 18 points and four assists per game, while shooting better than 40 percent from 3-point territory. He has outplayed every guard in this class so far, except maybe Westbrook.

I think somebody posted this as a comment on a fanpost, but I figured I'd throw up the link.

Stewart Mandel is my favorite national writer for college football, and he's particularly sound when it comes to anticipating bowl games. He argues that Boise State could make the national title game, considering that Boise is currently at 5 and 2 of the 3 SEC teams above the Broncos have to lose at some point. Ultimately, Mandel expects the Broncos will be leapfrogged int the rankings, but it certaintly looks like Boise State is a lock to make a BCS game (if not the championship game) if they go undefeated.

Jayson Stark ranks the 2010 free agent pitchers. Wolf is listed at #2 which probably means he will get an offer which (if Stark's rankings are in-line with the market) will likely pull him away from the Ravine. The intriguing pitcher for me is Rich Harden listed at #5. Nobody questions his stuff, just his durability. If the Dodgers can negotiate a favorable deal (like they did with Hudson) which limited the years and dollars, I think he would be an intriguing pickup.

"I think the amount of money we spend at the top end of the draft is now too much for what I like to label unproven talent," said Logan White, the Dodgers' assistant general manager for scouting.

"When you draft a player and sign a player -- that's supposed to be when they're a bargain."
