Double-T Nation Mike Sherman and Tommy Tuberville are really good coaches, and so I’m paying no attention to the scoreboard at Tech and A&M

This Kool-Aid is laced with crack co-caine, a gentle combination of Ambient and Viagra pills with a dash of cayenne.

How do they drink it?!?!?!

The problem with Tubbs and company is.... wind.  Damn the wind.  I think I shall create a petition to construct a dome... No wind=multiple championships.

If i had to duece, I'd wipe my nalgas with this article.

...meh.

Double-T Nation distinct possibility

Mired in a cloud of disappointment I look to our remaining schedule... After much contemplation and triangulation, it appears to be a distinct possibility that Tech win one, maybe two more games before the season is over... In past years, this generalization would have been implied hyperbole after an unexpected loss.   Unfortunately for us, in 2010 this appears to be a clear and present danger.  Now say this most heinous of situations occurs,  does anyone on the Tech staff encounter immediate hot seat?  Do we just chalk this up to a learning experience and hope for a different outcome next year?  Tubbs dropped his OC the year he unsuccessfully attempted the spread in Auburn.  I know its too early to prognosticate such blasphemies... but still I wonder.

I hope and Pray our beloved team can dig deep and put something together.  I need something to look forward to...

Double-T Nation A letter to Tech (Tubbs/Brown)

Frustration has hit zenith, I need to vent... So this will be my theoretical letter to Brown/Tubbs.

Brown/Tubbs

Wow.  You single handedly dismantled a well oiled machine that was accustomed chewing up yards and pissing touchdowns.  This so called "running game"  reeks of underachievement and appears to be the poster child of predictability.   The play call appears to come from that of a 7 year old girl, whom thinks we are playing cricket. The "Air Raid" looks more like a "Stop, Drop and Roll."   We had a pretty solid returning class whom achieved some huge numbers, so I put the blame on the new "captain."   Well captain, your boat is sinking fast.  I will give you credit in the defensive department, but unless that defense can put up 21 points every game, it makes no matter.

All the new traditions, and ambitious words of future championships makes no matter.  Fix this now.

Fix this NOW!!!!  I can't stomach the ridicule of fellow workers(t shirt fans) of a return to mediocrity.

I love my Red Raiders.  Make them Great .... Now.

Thank you, that is all.

Sincerely,

Mr. Concerned

Double-T Nation Behavior at the Jones...

We shall fill the air with arsenic laced tortillas at kick off.  In preparation for this weekends game, I suggest we polish a dozen AAA batteries in efforts to make  projectiles more aerodynamic. Once the game has commenced, we must not forget to rip the seats from the stands and proceed in drunken stupor  to charge anything remotely orange. We shall rain down obscenities upon their virgin  long horn ears. We shall kick babies and the disabled as we see fit.  We will secretly miss the ubiquitous reference to certain roomates catch and pass... We will rip the heads off  chickens, drink the blood and proceed to direct the fightsong with the rigor mortis induced body(new tradition).

I can't wait to see the Jones again!

If you don't have MTN there is another option to watch today. Directv is showing Tech vs. NM on channel 616, if you don't have the option, the game can be streamed free on this website. www.myp2p.eu. It may not be the best quality but it is free. Good Luck.

Double-T Nation Conspiracy Theory.... Leach already gone?

So I am one for a conspiracy theory and I have one of my own.  I have been trying to wrap my head around this current Leach situation and I keep coming to odd ends.  Now this is entirely my conjecture, I want to see if I'm the only guy who thinks this possible.

What if the Administration has caught wind that Leach already has intentions to leave, these intentions not to be revealed until after the Bowl game.  If this were the case I see why the University would act so quickly as to avoid bonuses payable to Leach upon completion of bowl game and completion of the year(surplus of $800,000 I believe.)

I come to this conspiracy theory on the premise that money moves all.

The University and it officials would not move so rashly  without thinking of the negative implications associated with the loss of coach Leach .  Say what you will, Leach has taken Texas Tech to another level of competitive play and that translates to higher revenues.  Jones Stadium has undertaken a notable overhaul and empty seats will not suffice.  Recruiting has reached a level not yet seen.  If leach is pulled, our program takes an immediate 3 steps back.

I'm sure the university is fully aware that Tech is on the brink of being a top level football program and would not jeopardize all that for the sake of Adam James.

Which brings me to the conclusion that they know something we don't and are attempting to cut its losses.

I don't know if this is worth contemplating.  There are times my imagination gets away with its self.   I just find it hard to believe that our Administration would be so inept to unravel a program in progress for such small potatoes.

Double-T Nation Brain Injury...

http://dallasmorningviewsblog.dallasnews.com/archives/2009/12/mike-leachs-dis.html

seriously... this guy claims to be a Tech grad.  What an effin Moron.  The Dallas Morning News is attempting to rip in to the old pirate.

Todd needs to get a clue.

So i was thinking... Worst case scenario Leach gets the ax or he decides to resign, I would certainly hope Tech would go after Dana  Holgorson.  I remain optomistic.  Go Tech!

cheese and rice, 75 words is hard to come by sometimes...

Double-T Nation ramblings of a megalomaniac...

I wanted fire to fall from the heavens and consume the South Plains.  I wanted to banish Mr. Potts and Detron Lewis to a secluded island for an eternal game of pitch and catch only to be hindered by a one handed aggie in perpetual interception.  I wanted to take Mike Leach in a hand of Poker, his millions riding all on a bluff consisting on a pair of twos.  I wanted to kick baby strollers, throw batteries and donkey punch the elderly.   I wanted to swear that I'd never watch another Tech game unless they got to a big 12 championship.  I wanted ruffin to... (i dare not print this thought)...

Then it occurred to me....  It's just a game. A game and a team I love and i'ts just not that serious.  There will be big wins and there will be big losses.  We will have highs and we will have lows(hopefully more highs) but that is what makes the game.

So in the end, I'm highly disappointed for this game.  But extremely thankful that I have another game to look forward to on Saturday.

Double-T Nation Raiderland

The wind blows this patch of flat land merciless.

The smell of manure permeates the air... it's not offensive you just know your back.

You may not care for country music but  hear it here and you foot starts to tap... Pat Green comes on , you're 2-steppin on the roof of your vehicle.

The bright lights of the Strip inspire a jubilation of soul... 30 stones, only in LBK. Doc's has you covered.

You can't throw a rock without hitting a beautiful girl.

3 things are absolute: God, Country and Texas Tech Football.

It's cool to be a pirate 365 days of the year.

We come from towns like Abilene and Zephyr and a few in between.

It's the norm to be underrated, disrespected, overlooked.  Thats ok, just know you're about to be punched in the mouth.

Only in Lubbock.

Wreck'em Tech.
