Is there something we don't know about Dennard & Minnifield?

Weren't both Alfonso Dennard and Chase Minnifield popularly considered second round talents? Dennard just got picked by the Pats at Round Seven, Pick Seventeen. Minnifield is still there. So, if we...

Lots of interesting tidbits from IndyStar Colts notebook

"Pro Bowl defensive ends Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis will be outside linebackers in Pagano's 3-4 scheme. Hughes, who was unable to make an impact as a pass-rushing end, is working as Mathis' backup at strongside linebacker. Moala, previously a tackle, has been moved to end." "Grigson made it clear the team has little interest in re-signing any of the veterans it released in March, primarily tight end Dallas Clark, linebacker Gary Brackett, running back Joseph Addai and safety Melvin Bullitt." And Reggie Wayne attended this year.

I think there was some talk about us (well fans recommending it) trying to sign him during the offseason. Maybe we should claim him off waivers...

Dr. Wellington Hsu's take on NFL.com

Yes, this is a serious surgery. But I like that a specialist doesn't directly say it is career-threatening. Also like: "In general, depending on his surgery, depending on the graft he had, most surgeons would let him get back to training in six to eight weeks. And depending on rehab, another four weeks after that -- plus or minus a week or so -- he could be back on the field. That's a general timetable I would give for a high-level athlete like Manning."

Per Rotoworld, Schefter reporting that Collins gets week 1 start

Interesting, if true. I doubt we get a better read on this until practice next week?

Any chance the Colts might be interested? Rotoworld says "Brewster was the 75th overall pick in the 2009 draft, so it's a pretty big disappointment that he didn't even last a season and a half in Dallas. Tackle-needy teams should strongly consider using a waiver claim on him."
