My name's Nate, but I go by Nathew (NAYth-yoo) on the internets. I'm 22 years old and I live in Grand Rapids, MI. My dad became a Cubs fan after the Tigers traded Rocky Colavito. It got passed on to me via heredity. I have two middle names, and one of them is Ryne.

Anyone going to Cubs @ Tigers series?
I just got 5 outfield box tickets for the June 25th game. Got through the VWR immediately, but anything after that was pure rigmarole.

Cubs might play exhibition at new Yankee Stadium
NEW YORK (AP)—The Chicago Cubs might play the unofficial opener at the new Yankee Stadium.
The Cubs and Yankees are talking about playing an exhibition game or games the weekend before most teams open the regular season, on Monday, April 6.
While the Cubs are the Yankees’ first choice, the teams are still negotiating.
The official opener of the $1.6 billion ballpark is April 16 against Cleveland.

Snopes debunks a 1908 myth.
"In late September [1908] the third team in the National League race, the Pirates, was playing the Cubs. In the ninth inning, with Chicago ahead 2-0 and the visiting Pirates at bat with the bases loaded, second baseman Ed Abbaticchio hit a rocket down the right-field line. [Umpire Hank] O'Day ruled it foul, the Cubs won the game, and went on to win the pennant by one game over the Pirates as well as taking the playoff from the Giants.
Several months later, though, a woman fan brought a lawsuit to court, alleging injury suffered when she was struck by Abbaticchio's smash, an occurrence attested to in sworn statements by various witnesses. But the court ending up ruling against her -- not because her story wasn't believed, but because it was conclusively established that she had been sitting in fair territory at the time."

Scott Eyre's rehab start for Peoria
...didn't go all that great. He gave up 4 hits and 2 earned runs in 1 1/3 innings.
I don't know if maybe he's not ready to come back yet or maybe it's just because he's a reliever. I don't know much about minor league ball/rehab so I don't know if they start major-league relievers on rehab assignments very often.
Anywho, this was a much more interesting game than last night to sit and watch. I'm pretty new around here so I don't know if I'm allowed to steal Josh77's thunder and give you the results, so I'll wait patiently for his minor league wrap post tonight, but I thought you guys would like to hear an update on Eyre's rehab.
