I'm just a guy from North-Central Nebraska that has been a Husker all his life. I've got a lot of interest and hobbies ranging from the bland to the dangerously stupid, but I won't bother anyone with reading a list.
I'm generally a "back of the bus" guy that spends more time listening rather than talking. When I do have something to say it's because I couldn't hold back any longer. I hope to make posting a regular thing here, if I feel I can find time write something and not make a total fool of myself. That said, I think I'm going to cut this short and stop while I'm ahead.

Toxic Texas
You know that one person you wouldn't even wish on your enemies? Someone so evil or just so messed up that there is no way getting close doesn't burn you somehow. Well... I think Texas is that school. They tried to sell themselves to the Big 10, but screamed bloody murder when it became possible that Nebraska might depart for greener pastures. The result was the Big 10 giving a valued member of the Big 12 a new home and basically shutting the door on Texas since they wouldn't come on any terms, but their own. The SEC has basically openly courted them, but with the way Texas has responded, I think it's safe to say that door is almost closed. Now, the door is even closing on the PAC-10 offer with Texas facing a deadline to get it's "ducks" in order. If they cannot, the PAC-10 wants to add another member to even out at 12, but that could end up being Utah and not Texas.
Now, with their house of cards crumbling, Texas is suddenly interested in possibly saving this conference. Beebe is out and about, screaming around the countryside trying to convince members to say. It sounds like a good thing for the remaining Northern schools and Baylor, but there's just one thing...
Rhymes With Pocalypse
Last season we were excited when Tom came back, Callahan was fired and Bo was brought in. However, there was some serious urgency to lock down guys like Gilmore and Watson. As everyone knows, after Keller went down and Callahan let go of the reins, likely believing the loss of Keller meant his end, our offense exploded thanks in no small part to the guys who picked up where those two left off. Between when Callahan was fired and shortly after Bo was hired, there were serious concerns about keeping the offense intact. We didn't need (and likely wouldn't have been able to) keep everyone around, but Watson was the primary "gem" of the offensive coaching staff. It seamed like things were ok until Alabama came calling for Watson, but thankfully, that period of horror was short lived and everybody got back down to business. Now, nearly a year later, it seams we are on a similar ledge again. Left to wonder if a disastrous change will occur and set our rebuilding project back for a few years.
