"Trembley has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions during the bottom of the fourth inning of his Club's game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim last night at Camden Yards.

Cabrera has been suspended for six games and fined an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing a pitch at Dustin Pedroia of the Boston Red Sox and for his inappropriate and aggressive actions during the bench-clearing incident that followed during the top of the fourth inning of the game between the two Clubs on Friday, September 7th at Camden Yards.

Trembley will begin to serve his suspension tonight, when the Orioles host the Angels. Cabrera has filed an appeal. Thus, his suspension will be held in abeyance until the process is complete."

Nothing much to say except that if Cabrera's suspension happens this season (the appeal probably could last until the season is over) at that point the O's won't have one projected starter from the beginning of the season, fun times!

Then goes on to say that Girardi might be in the considerations.

"The first managerial firing may be hours away now, with Sam Perlozzo in serious trouble in Baltimore. The Orioles have lost seven (now eight) straight games, some players are unhappy with Perlozzo, the fans are booing the manager whenever he appears on the field, and an Orioles fan wore a paper bag over his head.

The change may come as soon as the Orioles identify a replacement, and here's one name to keep in mind: Joe Girardi."

Basically he says that pros is that the Cubs and Yanks jobs might not be there after this season, he'd have more power over personnel and there's young talent. On the downside is we suck.

It's all speculation, but the plus side is that Perlozzo might be gone soon!

Buster Olney's blog (espninsider only)
