Nice little story about Jenkins and Thompson being welcomed by local DC rapper, Wale.
I havent seen this discussed on TN (though I do not read every comment) but I have been thinking of the possibility that we might even be better next year than we are this year. Couple of reasons...
Obviously, its VERY early in the process, but here are some names we should watch. I (and Michael) have mentioned DB Jalen Tabor previously. He is the current teammate of Eddie Goldman and is receiving a lot of buzz in the DMV already.
UM recruiting news begins at around 14 minute mark and FSU talk follows. MEJr "update" at 21:50 which does not really give us any new information.
Commits MEJr, Ukeme Eligwe and Jameis Winston make 2nd team Targets Eddie Goldman, Tracy Howard and JHC make first team. Andrus Peat also make 2nd team
6'8" 335lb 15 year old... wow!
8. Champs Sports Bowl Florida State vs. Notre Dame Dec. 29, 5:30 p.m. ET (ESPN) The two traditional heavyweights had disappointing records after entering the 2011 season with very high expectations. But both schools have storied traditions and have enough young talent to enter 2012 as BCS contenders. FSU won six of its last seven games; the Irish won four of their last five. The winner of this game gets a top-three preseason ranking.
"It was great to see the way the FSU defense played," Fowler said. "They were so aggressive and hungry. Next year I'll be playing in that game." He later mentions everyone will know for which team on signing day, but that original quote looks promising to me. Also of note: FSU was not mentioned in Agholor's top 7.
Marvin Bracy jumps into top 250 and PJ Williams moves up 40 spots, but Dalvon Stuckey drops out of the list
Looks like they are next to be hammered by the NCAA. Look to be hit with lack of institutional control. Also, I believe they were already on probation, so this might be incredibly damaging to them and/or their acceptance by the Big East
Mandel has FSU playing in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl against Auburn
There has been quite the Internet chatter of late that Winston is still looking around. He recently went to the Vanderbilt/Alabama game but he still insists that he's all Seminole. "I am comfortable in my decision for FSU but I am weighing my options," Winston said. "I am still committed to FSU as of right now. "When I committed to FSU I had to make sure that I would have people come with me and I am one of their biggest recruiters right now.
ESPN's analysts discuss their recruitment
I just loved how many times they mention an FSU commit
"Another key factor was the depth chart. Tennessee promised him a chance to start immediately. Auburn sold him on a thin depth chart. Conversely, Florida State told him the competition would be fierce. "But they told me everyone would get a fair shot, even if there's a senior in front of me," Shanks explained. "With my situation, I feel better waiting a season and learning the system, if that's what it takes.'"
Jameis Winston now overall # 4 player and Casher makes a jump too... Could we possibly get the #3,4 and 5 overall players?
Now OU fans can calm down
