According to this Kason Gabbard will miss the rest of the season because he had a bone spur removed from his elbow. Daniels said he will be part of the plan whether he be in the rotation or in the pen.

Although Gabbard struggled i still think he can be a solid pitcher next year based on how he pitched in April. If he can get back to full strength and hit his spots then there is no reason he cant be a solid #4 or #5.

Volquez or Hamilton?

Now that the ASB is here i wanted to know what all the ranger fans think about the trade. I know that Hamilton is having a great season but we really need pitching as you all know. This year Volquez has been a dominant and ultimately a consistent starting pitcher and very young. But i dont think Volquez would be putting up the same numbers here because he wasnt happy here.

Volquez- 2.29 ERA 12-3( although records mean nothing) 126 K 117 IP 5 HR

Hamilton- .310/.367/.552 21 HR 95 RBI 7 SB 5 Outfield Assists

Personally I still would rather have Hamilton for the RBIs, Defense, Homers and just being able to draw fans to the Rangers

Who would you rather have?

David Murphy's line drive in the ninth in game 1 is a little bit farther away from kotchman and what if michael youungs' line drive was hit a little more towards the right?

We could be looking at a 6 game win streak and be 3.5 games behind the angels.

or if we didnt go 0 for 7 with risp in innings 9-11 in game 4

just saying that 2 plays could have changed the season

1.Bring up Tommy Hunter

2.Keep Harrison in the rotation

3.Get Feliz to AAA

4.Decide where Hamilton is gonna play, CF or RF

5.Keep Byrd and Bradley

6.Trade Salty if you can get a young pitcher who is ML-ready and is not another "ground ball pitcher"(if you are a ground ball pitcher then you can do your job and get a groundball then it just goes through a hole then a run scores but if you are a strikeout pitcher and you do your job then no one will score or advance)

7. Trade Millwood or Padilla not both, Cat, Hank (dont need him just to be on the Dl all the time) but trade Hank after he comes back, if ever, and hope he does good

8.Strive for a rotation of Millwood/Padilla, Hurley, Harrison, Feldman, Hunter. Im hoping for the 3 Hs

9.Get Boggs in to more games

10.Keep the team chemistry

11.SWEEP A SERIES

12.Try to say around .500 to maybe build some momentum for '09

13.Be ready to win in 2009!
