Draft the Prospect: Darius Morris
Ok guys, I know there is this Know the Prospect saga going on, and this post is something like that, but instead of just telling you about him, I am telling you (AND THE KNICKS MANAGEMENT) that this is who the Bockers should be drafting. Jump.
Starting Line-up, 2009-2010?
So what is their starting lineup going to be, assuming they don't make any more acquisitons. What will it be if they do get Ramon Sessions? Let's assume in both of these cases they don't resign. Anyone wish to shed some light on these situations? Personally I would like them to start Douglas, Gallinari, and Chandler no matter what they do the rest of this off-season. Depending on the moves either start Toney at the 1 or 2. Jordan Hill obviously won't be a starter. Darko seems like the best option at center right now.. but I don't know... Opinions?
What is the word on Sessions?
For a while we kept hearing that the Knicks "coveted" this guy. But lately, there has been no talk of him. Is this just because we are going after Kidd right now? Is he still the fallback option if we don't get Kidd? Honestly, I (along with many of you) would much rather have Sessions. He is young, plays some defense and is rapidly improving, he even got the reputation of being a fairly clutch player amongst Bucks fans. He seems like a good all around fit
So... are we getting Rubio or what?
Rumors have been circulating, as many of you know. I have heard that they would have to give up Lee and Nate, then I've heard they would have to give up Chandler and other times I've read we would have to trade both Chandler and Hill. Honestly I wouldn't mind the first two scenarios, but giving up Hill and Chandler would be ridiculous. If we made either of the first two deals we would have a starting line up of Rubio, Douglas, Galinari, Hill, and Darko (of course it is very possible that they would start a few vets over those guys, but that would be my ideal lineup.) That right there is a young starting core of 5 first round picks, 4 of which were taken top 8 and 1 who many see as a steal at 29 (ghostface).
With the potential that lineup poses there will be a lot less pressure to secure a big name free agent in 2010. I feel that is a team that can develop and be very good for many years.
Then I have also read this ridiculous rumor from the NY Times that we would be looking at Jason Kidd for a 1 year deal... god lets hope not.
So what do you all think? Are we going to get Rubio? Do you even want Rubio?
