For all of you LLers going to the game on Sunday, it sounds like the tentative plan to meet up is at Sliders next to the ballpark before the game. It's a 1:35 start, so I'm planning on getting to the bar by at least 11 or so (I'd like to have some time to take a look around Camden before the game).

I never got around to buying my ticket this week, but given what I've heard about the O's attendance so far this season, I'm not too worried about buying a ticket the day of the game.

I hope to see a lot you guys at the game!

PS - Depending on how things go tonight and Friday, I may need a lot of beer on Sunday. Of course a dominating performance by Bedard wouldn't hurt either :)

The games are almost a week away, and I wanted to check in with everyone who expressed interest in or already going to the games.

Limerickx, DCMariner, Ben in Va have you guys already bought tickets? If not do you guys want to get a group of tickets?

Either way, would you guys (and sandalfan) like to meet up before or after any of the games?

I finally pulled my head out of my ass and realized that the M's trip to Baltimore is less than two weeks away. Are there any other LLers planning on going to any of the games and would like to get a group together?

I moved out to the DC area from LA a few months ago, so I've gone from three visits by the M's per season to one. The upside is that I don't have to deal with Angels fans. The downside is that I'd better make this trip count. I figure that means I should make it to at least two of the games minimum.

The Sens are really good.

Jeff and I would like to welcome you all to join us in celebrating the best opening of an NHL season in history. Well... except for Leaf fans of course. Nothing ruins a good party like guests crying into their beers. I'd uninvite Duck fans too, but technically you have to exist to be worth mentioning.

Off-Day Query: English Premier League

After the World Cup I got the hankering to watch some more quality soccer on a regular basis, so I spent a few weeks choosing an EPL team to support. I ended up choosing Reading primarily because of Seattle native Marcus Hahnemann.

I was curious if any of you follow the EPL or went through a similar process this summer. If so how did you end up choosing your team?

I actually found choosing one to be pretty tough. Being an M's/Seahawks/Sonics and a Senators fan pretty much turned me off of the big name teams (Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal). Granted I'm sure I'll be wishing I'd chosen a better team if Reading gets relegated (as a friend of mine that's a Liverpool supporter loves reminding me), but I'm pretty happy with finding the next best thing to a "home team" as a guy from Seattle can get over there.

Oh, are there any good places in the Seattle area to catch the games?
