Gameday Whiteout Lore is Growing
On the ESPN First Take Big Man on Campus segment Pat Forde just gave a shout out to the Whiteout of Gameday. Surprisingly he liked the idea considering it came from a Big 10 school. Host Jay Crawford is also a fan of the idea saying "Leave it to the Penn State students to come up with an idea like that" or something along those lines.
This plan could become legendary. More evidence that we shouldnt abandon this idea as some have suggested.

2009 Under Armour All-American Darrell Givens now set for Rutgers
Former Penn State signee Darrell Givens, a 2009 Under Armour All-American, will join the Rutgers football program as early as Tuesday, ESPN's JC Shurburtt reports.
Givens originally signed with Penn State, but was denied admission to the school. He considered a variety of options, including North Carolina, South Carolina and the Scarlet Knights before settling on Rutgers.
Givens played high school football at Lackey High in Indian Head, Md.

Devlin to transfer
Report from fightonstate from scout.com
Multiple sources have told FightOnState.com that redshirt sophomore qurterback Pat Devlin has left the program and intends to trasnfer to another school.
As of this report the destination was unclear, though sources indicate he is looking to transfer to the Football Championship Subdivision (D1AA).
Devlin was in a heated battle for the starting quarterback job heading into the 2008 season. Redshirt junior Daryll Clark won the job and played with the first team the entire year. Clark returns in 2009, but with Devlin transferring and senior Paul Cianciolo graduating, at this moment Clark is now the only scholarship quarterback on the roster with eligibility in 2009.
Devlin saw action in 10 contests this season going 25 for 47 (53%) with four touchdowns and no interceptions. He was also stepped in for an injured Clark against Ohio State and was instrumental in orchestrating the game-winning drive for PSU.
We'll have more on this story as news becomes available. We expect Joe Paterno to comment on this situation at Bowl Media Day on Friday.
