Wil Myers- hbp
Wil Myers got hit in the left hand with a pitch tonight. He was having a good game- 2-2 with two bloop singles, and he threw out a guy at home (he was playing CF tonight). He got hit in the left hand in the 5th inning. They left him in to run the bases, but took him out of the game in the 6th. Hopefully he's not hurt. He's been on fire of late.
Casey Kelly to be called up (according to Peter Gammons)
I was watching Peter Gammon's MLB.com's clip about Anthony Rizzo on Rizzo's stat page on MLB.com, link:
http://mlb.mlb.com/team/player.jsp?player_id=519203
Click on "Gammons on Moustakas and Rizzo". Anyway, about a minute in, Gammons says "look for Casey Kelly to join Rizzo in San Diego in the next 3-4 weeks to show another piece of the Adrian Gonzalez trade in the big leagues".
I don't see this. I'm a big Casey Kelly supporter (I have him in 2 leagues), but that sounds super aggressive. His stats aren't dominant by any means. He's having a nice year, but not anything worthy of going from AA to the majors.
What do you all think? Is Gammons full of it?

Wil Myers?
Is he hurt? I'm trying to figure out why he hasn't played in a game since 4/22. I know that he's off to a slow start, but I don't think they'd bench him. Anybody know? Thanks in advance!

Anthony Rizzo
Is it me, or Anthony Rizzo working his way into a call up? He's batting over .400 (3-3 with a HR tonight as I type this). He's at or near the minor league RBI lead. Brad Hawpe is batting .119, and he's on a one year contract. Sounds like a DFA waiting to happen to me. Call the kid up and see what he can do. He can't do any worse than the guys in the big leagues.
Tyler Matzek
When is he going to start pitching? Does anybody know the time frame? I thought that I read before that the Rockies were simply trying to be cautious and limit his innings and were starting him later in the season as a result. What gives? I look at what Boston is doing with Casey Kelly (starting him, but limiting him to 50 or so pitches, with the hope that he'll pitch about 100 innings this year), and wonder why the Rox aren't doing the same with Matzek.

Diamondbacks Top 10 Prospects
As a Rockies fan, you should read this. The beginning of the story praises the Rox and bashes the D-Backs. And this is their Top 10 list, I love it! I mean, like the rest of us, I do not like Arizona. But to have something that should be praising them or seemingly trying to make them sound like a good team instead bashing them and praising the Rox to me is priceless...
Curious what you all think of the Cliff Lee trade?
I see lots of people ignorantly bashing this deal on MLB.com, but I think Cleveland made out like bandits.
Carrasco is struggling with the shift to AAA this year, but I think that the dude is going to be a superstar. Donald projects to be a solid utility guy, maybe a starting second baseman. Marson is supposedly one of the better defensive catchers in the minors, dude hits 300 and draws walks. Yeah, he doesn't have power, but he looks like a Jason Kendall type of guy to me. I know nothing about the Single A guy (Knapp), but he has more strikeouts than innings pitched, so sounds like solid upside.
Lee had 2 months remaining on his contract. If they weren't going to sign him anyway, getting 4 high end prospects is a great move.
