And Then There was FOUR(1 ESPNU)
The hits just keep coming for Miami. Teddy Bridgewater has dropped the Canes. This small class continues to get smaller and is now outside the ESPN top 25. Miami has lost three 4* commits(Bridgewater, Jackson, and Louis-Jean) in the past week.
Is Anthony Chickillo next? What are the chances that we land some of these players?
Why not an option for guaranteed student tickets at a (reasonable) additional price?
The debate about FSU needing to bring in additional revenue has been brought up many times on TN. My question is would FSU charging a reasonable rate for STUDENT season tickets raise more money for the program. I have always thought that the university should sell student season tickets for a reasonable price and encourage students to become student boosters and get season ticket priority. FSU sells student season tickets for $209. I don't know any students that buy student season tickets. UF sells student season tickets for $70 and sells out their allotment. I believe charging a reasonable rate would not only raise revenue but also get more young seminoles attached to the program. This system would also guarantee that fans that attend the samford game get a ticket for the florida game. I have never understood why its possible for a student to attend every home game and then not be able to attend the last game. While other students don't go to any home games and get a ticket for the UF game. FSU would sell more season tickets and students would become more attached to the program. I believe that students who sign up for a student booster account and buy student season tickets would be more likely to buy season tickets once they graduate as well. I don't think FSU would sell out the student allotment until we start putting up more wins, so the remaining tickets should continue to be lottery selected every week as they are now. What are your thoughts?
Coach Coley on Twitter
Looks like ESPN has even realized how awesome Coley's tweets are. Let the recruiting domination continue!!!
The Biggest Sporting Event of The Year
It just occurred to me that the Masters is the same weekend as the G&G Spring game. Does anybody think that this will effect the amount of people that are willing to drive to Tallahassee for the game? The Masters is Tiger Woods first PGA event since his off the course issues. There is no doubting that this will be one of if not the biggest sports story of the year. Personally I think its a bad idea to hold the game on the same weekend as the Masters. Not just this year because it will be a bigger deal then most but any year. The Masters is one of only 4 majors and will effect some peoples decision to come to the game. I will be at the game regardless of what day its on. But one would think having our Spring game on the same weekend as The Masters will only hurt our overall attendance.
First Night Game, REALLY?
This is not a FSU story; however, it is an interesting college football story. Michigan will host its first EVER home night game against Notre Dame on Sept. 10, 2011. Did anybody else realize that Michigan has never played a night game at home?
The Burden of Being Myron Rolle
Spend a week in the life of this future Neurosurgeon and possible NFL first-rounder, who every FSU student, alumni, and fan should be proud to say, "MYRON ROLLE IS A SEMINOLE."
Outside the lines is doing a story on Myron Rolle this Sunday at 9 a.m. Attached is a side of Myron most haven't seen.
