Letterman

Did anyone else watch the boys on David Letterman tonight? I DVR'd it but I caught a small snippet of it because I was flipping back and forth and lo and behold, I flip the channel back to Letterman and Letterman whips out the shot of A-Rod having himself a handful of Jeter's ass.

In case you've forgotten. Or just need a good chuckle:

Classic. I can't stop laughing and my sides are hurting.

The reactions by Andy, Jorge, and Derek was hilarious and it was too bad they cut to commercial immediately after that.

On another note, the boys sure looked spiffy tonight.

Everyone loves Derek Jeter... Even Curt Shilling

I was on LoHud just now and came across this link to Shilling's blog

Derek Jeter has always been above the fray. As someone who’s wallowed in it, “foot-in-mouthed” it hundreds of times, said dumb things and backed up dumber ones, it’s refreshing. He’s shown up, played, and turned in a first-ballot Hall of Fame career in the hardest environment in sports to do any/all of the above.

...

So, congratulations Derek, you earned every ounce of respect and accolades thrown your way, and you’re one of the few men I ever competed against who is worthy of having his name mentioned with the same reverence and respect as Lou Gehrig.

Well, at least he knows he has a foot-in-mouth syndrome.

Here's the link if you're interested:

Congratulations, Chicago Bulls.

You may have lost out on the Mike D'Antoni lottery but you won the lottery, lottery despite having only a 1.7% chance for top pick.

Meanwhile, with a 25% chance of winning the lottery, Miami has the second pick.

Kudos, my friends, kudos.

"But at the same time, a guy like Amare is not going to get defensive rebounds like those two guys, and rebounding is the best way to start a fast break," Nash said. "That’s something that we didn’t necessarily have. Although Amare is one of the best players in the world, getting a rebound and throwing it out is not one of his strong suits."

Nash's Trash Talk

Have you guys gone over to SUNS.com and look at those behind the scene photos to Nash's Trash Talk commercial?

It is freaking HIL-ari-OUS!

I especially enjoyed Raja Bell's RIDICULOUS get up.  It's the cheeziest outfit I have ever seen in my life.  And Amare's get up isn't too far off either.

There's a video up there too.

But don't take my word for it, you have to check it out for yourselves.

How bout them Hornets?

Anyone watch the Hornets/Mavericks game?  Despite some first time jitters, they turned a 12 point half time deficit in to a 12 point win.

Chris Paul took over the game and the Mavericks look unraveled.  Tyson Chandler gobbled every rebound, Peja rained 3s, and David West hit his shots after starting the game 1-8 shooting.

I love Steve Nash and he's my favorite, but I LOVE watching Chris Paul play.

He is FEARLESS. His line? 35 points, 10 assists, 1 turnover and a handful of steals.

So much for being a newbie in the second season, eh?

How scary of an opponent would they be?
