Its Good to be a Jaguars Fan
As I read the fan shot about the Yahoo guy bashing the Jaguars again, I couldnt help to think, who the hell cares. Right now, it is really good to be a Jaguar fan. If you look back a couple months ago, the franchise was filled with so many questions from will the coach stay to will the franchise stay to will we sell any tickets at all this year. Looking to the present, it looks like we have answered all of those questions. With the updated fuel gauge, it looks like we sold about 1000 tickets to the redskins game in the last two days, which most likely means we will not blackout a single game the entire year. We have one 5 out of 6 games, we have gotten more good attention in the national media then we have gotten in years, you no longer here us being associated with LA, I personally have seen more JAGS gear around town then I have ever seen, its fun to listen to sports talk radio in town and hear them talking about playoffs, and also to get emails talking about buying home playoff tickets from the Jaguars, and even seeing the Jags-Cotls matchup scroll on the bottom line of ESPN 5 days before the game. I know that the team still has a lot of work to do and we still need to win Sunday to guarantee anything, but the last couple weeks have been really fun to be a Jags fan and I think its only going to get better.

Heard on the Radio Today
As I listened to the HERD, on espn radio,(have to go to national radio because local radio from 10-1 is awful) he had Peter King on the radio, and he mentioned that a team to LA looks more like a reality than ever. However, King did not mention the Jaguars but metioned teams like the Rams and Vikings. As soon as King got of the radio, Cowherd, went on to bash Jacksonville on everything from having apathetic fans to how bad the Super Bowl was here. After switching to local radio at one(local radio gets a lot better after one) Mike Dempsey had Mike Florio on like he does every tuesday, and he also said the same thing, that he does not belive that the Jags will be the ones to move because St. Louis and Minnesota have terrible stadium situations that do not allow them to make sufficent money. As much as Florio is a Jag basher, that was good to hear and I definitly respect what King has to say on the situation. Florio did have to throw in that he thought the Jags would move to London but I don't believe there will ever be a team in London.
arizona game ticket sales
Just wondering if anyone had any information on how the ticket sales are coming. I know that we were never going to avoid the blackout, but i was wondering how many were still unsold and if the stadium is going to at least appear full. I know that a lot of public groups have been heavily promoting people to buy tickets including a couple of radio stations but i was seeing if it was making any difference.

richard collier update
richard collier update
according to espn.com, collier is paralyzed from the waist down and had to have one of his legs amputated, he was shot 14 times, it seems that they did not lead on to how serious he got shot at first, obviously his football career is over, its to bad to see someone who worked really hard and was about to make a good career for himself have it end so suddenly
Let's Look at the Positives
Its very easy to look at all the negatives from the game yesterday because their were a lot of them but their was also a few positives.
First- Brian Witherspoon might turn out to be the steal of the draft. Two great kickoff returns and also one big punt return. If he gives the Jaguars that kind of field position all year, eventually we will capitalize on it.
Second- Matt Jones had a really good game. He did all the things that everyone has been knocking him for, catching the ball in traffic, fighting for extra yards and who knows what he would have done if Garrard would have had a little more time.
Third-Moving Brian Williams to safety looks like a very good move as well. He made a couple of good stops to stop the Titans on third down and he didnt get exposed in the passing game like he did numerous times last year.
Fourth- I dont think that Garrard or the offensive line or the running backs can play much worse, so it should be all on the rise from here on out.
Lastly-The three teams expected to be ahead of us in the AFC, the chargers, colts, and patriots all lost. Yes I know the patriots won their game but they lost something much more important in Tom Brady.
One little rant- Jack, go back to wearing the Costa's, those aviator looking sunglasses makes you look like a panzy, also Garrard, dont be laughing on the sidelines after two interceptions and a fumble as were losing the game, look like you care a little more.
Ticket Sales
does anyone know how the ticket sales were going, i thought the last estimate was about 1000 season tickets left but does anyone know how the single game ticket sales are going, we need to sell out every game and have no blackouts this year i am sure that we wont have any trouble selling out most of the games but i worry that if the jaguars stumble at the start of the season, then people wont be inclined to buy single game tickets as the season goes along
