http://www.sbnation.comhttp://www.sbnation.com/users/northernvatiger Posts made by northernvatiger on SB Nation http://www.amazinavenue.com/2009/6/14/909334/after-losing-4-out-of-6-to northernvatiger Mon, 15 Jun 2009 00:05:00 -0000 <p>A frustrating week of baseball...&nbsp; We could have easily gone 5-1.&nbsp; No need to rehash the two extra inning losses and Friday's debacle.&nbsp; No need to discuss today's pasting; yikes 15-0!</p> <p>What does Omar have to do first?&nbsp; Clearly we need help in several areas; I think first and foremost we need a power bat in the lineup to play either 1B or one of the corner OF positons.&nbsp; Seems like <a href="http://www.sbnation.com/mlb/players/418/Adam_Dunn" class="sbn-auto-link">Adam Dunn</a> would be the best bet as he can play 1B until Delgado comes back, then go to LF or RF.&nbsp; I'd like to know what the platoon of Tatis and Murphy are hitting since Delgado went down.&nbsp; The power numbers we know for sure are not there.&nbsp; What would we have to give up for Dunn?&nbsp; Who else could we realistically go after to fill this need?</p> <p>Absent Omar making any moves, I'd like to see Murphy play 1B&nbsp;everyday, and leave Tatis on the bench.&nbsp; Tatis was a nice story last year -- this year not so much.&nbsp; Seems like Murphy needs to play everyday.&nbsp;</p> <p>Regarding the outfield, I don't know...&nbsp; Sheffield looks tired and can't play everyday, and&nbsp;I don't think Church is the answer longterm.&nbsp; That leaves&nbsp;F-Mart, who clearly should play everyday if he's going&nbsp;stay in the bigs, otherwise he should go back to AAA.&nbsp; Not a lot of great options...&nbsp;</p> <p>Any thoughts?</p>
