I'm ready to move past it all, and if you're with me, you'll realize every thing is better when presented by chimps:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybHujsf1GGc&eurl=http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/sioncampus/12/09/let-the-cheerleaders-decide-campus-clicks/index.html

I hope that the link works... enjoy the rest of your day. Let's plan on putting the hurt on the Bucks and there's one more season of Colt! And hopefully I'm at 75 words now.

Mike Leach offer on the table

Mike Leach was given an offer by Tech:

http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=3747531

12.1 million over 5 years. That's a whooole lotta money.

I tried to look up how much Mack makes, and I saw the figure of 2.55 million / yr. If that's true then Leach's offer would bring him close. Does that make Leach one of the top paid coaches?

If that's the case, I could see him staying at Tech... or will Auburn up the ante?

Fiesta Bowl

Looking at the bowl projections here:

http://www.sportsline.com/collegefootball/bowls/predictions

People are saying Fiesta Bowl against Ohio State. Ohio State has had a bad year with losses against Penn and USC, but those are two pretty high caliber losses. Especially since in the game against USC, Ohio hadn't selected a quarterback and had their Heisman quality RB injured. And against Penn they lost on the last drive of the game.

Of course, Boise State is undefeated and in contention for the same BCS At Large Bid.

Who would the longhorns rather play in the Fiesta Bowl? A two loss OSU or an undefeated WAC Boise State that dropped OU in its last appearance.

I think Ohio State gets it anyway because of the money involved... OSU travels really well.

The Doomsday Scenario ( BCS Madness )

I don't think this is really even possible because the computers wouldn't allow it ( I hope ), but I came across a video of two talking heads on ESPN who laid out what I thought to be the worst case scenario for texas:

I copied the link, don't know if it works... It's the Pregame shift on espn about the TTU vs OU game:

http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3715036&categoryId=2564308

In this scenario:

1. OU beats TTU

2. OU leapfrogs Texas

3. OU loses to Mizzou in the Big12 Game

I'm pretty sure these two guys said that USC should jump all the Big 12 South teams and play Florida in the MNC in this scenario.

If we were leapfrogged by OU and USC in the same year, I might have to become completely unhinged. Did I hear them correctly in that video bit? USC jumps all three Big 12 South teams??? I blacked out for a second, so I'm not sure.

Hopefully we can say with certainty that Fozzy is solidly in the rotation now, finally. I think if he starts moving the ball regularly, by the time we end up at our destination, wherever that may be... our top 10 offense will be even better than it was through this brutal 4 game stretch.

With Malcom Williams coming out as a possible deep threat, that could be the case even more. That guy really looked like he had another gear once he had the ball.

I think Baylor, Kansas, and A&M might see some experimentation on offense that deviates from the tried and true Colt, Shipley, and Cosby show.

Anyone think Davis might experiment more with one loss and some up and comers? I sure hope he does.

Go Tech! [ From a Longhorn ]

The Poll rankings that just came out show you how no one respects Texas Tech / Leach. We lost to them, they're in 3rd, and we drop below OU, Florida, and USC.... That is obviously wrong.

Tech deserves #1, just like we did after toppling OU. I'm even going to root FOR Tech when it plays OU / OSU. In fact, I hope they win OUT and go to the NC.

If that happens, I doubt we'll see Texas being ranked below OU ( 2 losses if Tech wins out ), Florida, USC, or any other one loss team.

We should go to a good BCS bowl if Tech goes to the NC and I hope if either of our teams comes up against an SEC team... we put up 40+ on their D.

So I say, "Go Tech!" ... also, I just can't root for OU.
