A special 'thank you' to Grizz.

I've been on the blog a few years, and certainly have seen some evidence of how awesome the staff is here. However, I just wanted to say how great it is that we have a classy guy like Grizz at the forefront here at BTB.

I just went to HogsHaven yesterday and read how their rep, KevinE, tried to turn what is essentially one of the coolest portions of the blog- unbiased assessments of our team's weekly matchups- into a joke. He, and likely his fans, weren't interested in dissecting the matchup, but rather just wanted to throw some mud at the Cowboys. It was very rude.

I would have taken the bait. I'm not known for having a really long fuse. But Grizz simply noted that the conversation was going in a direction he didn't expect or appreciate, and excused himself from it.

My hat off to Grizz, a classy guy, and one that I'm proud to have representing me as a Cowboys fan and a member of BTB. Thanks, man.

Roy Williams- Broken Collar Bone?

The below was posted on PFT...it just says "a source" but this isn't good at all...

A league source tells us that Cowboys receiver Roy Williams suffered a broken collarbone during his Thursday night collision with cornerback Orlando Scandrick.

Typically, a broken collarbone requires a healing period of six to eight weeks.

I can only hope that this is erroneous...I know little about PFT, but I'm really worried that this might be legit...Keeping fingers crossed.

D-Ware Questionable??

Okay, I can handle Barber being out- But I am VERY concerned if Ware can't go...is this just gamesmanship or is he really thinking of not going because it's COLD!!!!???

Not questioning his toughness, but if we don't have Ware out there, we get little pass rush (they can concentrate on Rat and James) and honestly, we probably lose this football game. Pass rush and making Hamburger make mistakes is the key, and I'm freaking worried now.

Thoughts? Insights???

Romo and the Joy of the Game?

I, for one, want to see one thing out of Tony Romo.

No, it's not fewer red zone interceptions (though that would be nice).

No, it's not putting the ball on the ground fewer times (though that would be nice).

No, it's not even better decision making.

I want to see Romo start smiling again.

Has everyone else not seen the way he retreats to the sidelines now after a bad series and stares blankly ahead?

This is not the Tony Romo that remembers he is playing on house money. This is not the Tony Romo that has that great "aw, shucks" grin on his face when he makes a mistake, then retreats to the sidelines to correct it on the next drive.

Our season does not rest on Tony Romo's smile. But I, for one, miss the quarterback that loved the chance to play. That didn't second guess. That made plays, and made mistakes, and loved every minute of every game like it was his last.

Tony, when you come back, remember this: this team, this season doesn't ride on your shoulders. But we sure need you to play that smiling, pitch and catch, ball that you have taught us to admire, and even love.

Just go out there and play ball. And most of all...

Smile.

New Orleans Wideouts???

I think we were all trying to "get into the spirit" of believing in Crayton, Hurd, and Austin as being able to provide support to TO and the passing game. If Wade and the coaches believe in them, that's good enough for me...and I have to admit, Crayton has been impressive. Heck, so has Hurd and Miles. But now it seems like we have to face facts...Amendola and Jefferson aren't ready, and we're sacrificing some strong looks and making it easier for defenses to read us by splitting Witten out wide.

New Orleans has a stacked WR corps...do you think we would be well served to attempt a trade for any of this crowded house, particularly Devery Henderson, Lance Moore, David Patten, or Terrace Copper? I'm just really concerned about our depth of quality talent here. Maybe I'm being paranoid.

Any thoughts?

Here's a nice positive blurb I found on Rotowire this morning:

A high-ranking Cowboys official told ESPN.com that he'd be "shocked" if Terrell Owens didn't play Sunday.
No surprise, but its always good to hear from the team, even if they won't go on record. The Cowboys expect Owens at "80%", which would leave him roughly 60% better than Patrick Crayton and 200% better than the rest of the Dallas receivers. Jan. 9 - 11:20 am et
