Not trying to be anti-semetic...

but did anyone keep up with the jewish kid's blog that he started back in October? He was a Mets fan that was going to give hockey a go. I checked it out for a few weeks, but he stopped posting after a while and i gave up. I was just wondering if he kept it up, and/or if he still follows the Isles.

so what would you give up to get him?

Serious offers only, no "nabakov and staios" trades

You think that Nino, 1st round pick, and maybe either Okposo or Nielson would do it? yeah, i wouldn't want to give up on any of those, but to get a 40 goal scorer for JT would make it worth it.

Lighthouse Hockey Defensive Pairings

So i was giving some thought to the defensive pairings for the upcoming season, and i'm wondering how they will play out. Personally, i think that they should keep AMac & Hamonic as the second pair - they play well together. Obviously Streit is one half of the top pair, but who plays with him? Do you stick Eaton or Jurcina there? Do you put Wishart with him to "spur" his development? Or do you keep Wishart & Jurcina together, since they seemed to play pretty good together down the stretch, thus defaulting to Eaton/Streit, with Mottau as the #7 guy? What do you guys think?

gotta love this - an article with 26 players, and the Rangers are featured 8 times.

Lighthouse Hockey draft lottery minus the lottery

Did anyone else feel like last night's Draft Lottery on Versus was a colossal failure?  What's the point of having a drawing for the #1 overall pick if you're not going to show the ACTUAL DRAWING?  They could have done all the pre-pick hype of showing each teams' balls (huh huh) fall into the hopper and actually show the winning ball pulled. They could even have had Yolanda Vega call the winner.

Watching a guy with placards announce "At #5 the Islanders, at #4 the Devils (the winner), and still at #1is Edmonton" seemed like it had no flow to it. I guess they were trying to have some of the same drama of Ryan Seacrest on American Idol:  "Joe Schmoe, the audience has voted, and you are ............(30 second pause for effect)................. NOT eliminated".

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but showing the actual drawing of the winner is a lot better than giving us the results secondhand, and it will keep people from questioning the results.
