Hey someone who knows please help me out with this one.  Why in god's name does Markakis wear long sleeves under the jersey no matter what the temperature?  I mean sure in April and maybe even May, but you can't tell me there is a good reason in mid july where the temps have consistently been 90's plus to wear the sleeves-black none the less.I know it not superstition because he has 5 hr's 31 rbi's in 90 games.  Personally I'm guessing he has the interlocking ny on one arm and a Don Mattingly face on the other going back to his childhood in long island ny.

Anyway, if anyone does know the reason please share with this confused fan.

Hey I may be nuts but when I watched Chirs Tillman the other day in Texas I couldn't help but having flashbacks of an oriole from years back.  Maybe its the frame, maybe its the 90 plus fastball, maybe its the knee buckling curve, but for a while I could have sworn I was watching  old number 19 big Ben McDonald.  Anyone else feel the same?

Either way, lets hope this recent momentum leads us to a second half of well pitched games by the big 3 and a promise of meaningful baseball past may in years to come.
