Acme Packing Company Open Letter to Daily Norseman

Dear Daily Norseman,

This letter is in response to your recent postings at your website.  The rhetoric and postings at your site have set back the legitimacy of the entire sbnation network of sites.  In a month where sbnation has gotten more positive publicity then any time before your actions have been childish and without merit.  This week sbnation was proud to have Ben Jones of Black Shoe Diaries appear on MSNBC, ESPN, and ESPN radio in the wake of the saga of Penn State, and the Daily Norseman decided to follow that up with outlandish claims.

Many of these sites have taken on their own personality, much of which is the personality of the authors and contributing writers.  I personally have thought that this network is a great place to interact with fans of my team when I am displaced from the home of the fan base.  The growth of these sites is both exciting for the readers and the authors as it gives them a new opportunity.

I must say I do not see the same opportunities coming for the writers at Daily Norseman. Your outlandish claims that a restaurateur tried to commit attempted murder based on a twitter statement made by a player is both inappropriate and irresponsible.  Your open letter to ESPN although with merit is short sighted and uneducated.  In case you haven’t watched MNF football in the last three weeks you will realize that the opening has been exclusive to the home team.  In case you haven’t watched MNF in the last three years you would notice the Gruden falls all over the winning team in every airing.  I agree with that fact that it may be time for the WWL to look into a new broadcasting combo but this is of no direct result of some love affair that they may have with the Packers.  This is simply the norm.

As an author and “keeper” of an sbnation site your obligation to your community and the sbnation community as a whole is much greater than that of the general contributing public.  Your calls of warning that anyone from APC would be banned based on commenting on your post is immature.  I understand that every community has its own bad apples, people who are “trolling” or directly trying to incite at a rival community.  However, for you as a writer at a sbnation to openly call out those who have a differing opinion of you and foster a community of intolerance should not be accepted.  You have a responsibility to promote discussion, maintain the status quo, and not incite other members of your community.  I contend that your actions in the last 24 hours have been no better than those of the few bad apples that you have so publicly complained about.

I have read a number of your articles and always enjoyed reading articles at your site and those of other NFL teams.  I am a football junky and love to get the fans perspective.  However, I really think you should reconsider some of your outlandish claims and actions.

Bucs Nation Question for Bucs Nation

Hello Bucs nation I had a couple questions for you about Adrian "cabbie-killa" Clayborn.  What have your overall thoughts been of him throughout the year?  Does he seem to take plays off?  He is one of my favorite and most hated hawkeye alumni for his amazing performances one game and seemingly sleep walking through the next.

Also, I was hoping to see Adrian match up against the packers RT (Bulaga), any chance that happens or does he just stay on the Left side Offense, right side Defense.

Black Heart Gold Pants Marvin Mcnutt might catching everything...including DJK???

I am not the best at finding all the stats, but after 7's 9 catches for 101 yards it got me thinking.  What seemed so impossible at the begining of the year might actually happen.  It was pretty much a given that he was going to catch TD and Hughes for the touchdown record.

The question now is when do we start the countdown for the next record.  By my less then superior skills with da google, I show Marvin with 2,505 yards that is just 111 left to go.  My money is on him breaking that against Purdue.

He also has 145 career catches, just 28 off the record.  This one will be a little tougher to get.  It really would only be 7 catches per game including a bowl game.  However, I am not sure what he gets against Nebraska.  I think he will exceed 7 against OMHR.  Let's give them a little payback for all the stubblefield catches! If he was to break this record I would say it will be in the bowl game.

Please correct me if I am wrong.  I also want to here what your thoughts are on if he breaks one, neither or both.

Black Heart Gold Pants Chicagoland Hawkeye Fans

I need a little help trying to find out where to watch the game.  What provider carries Fox Sports outside the premium package.  Normally, not a big deal I would just go to buffalo wild wings, but I cant be at a bar and not drink (insert AA comments here) and i have a family function immediately after the game.  Just trying to figure out which friend I am going to ask to watch the game at there place.
