Is it finally Runyan time?
Our O-line is dwindling by the game. Even DJ admitted they need to get someone to plug the holes. L.J. Shelton or Runyan seem like the best options to me. I have been wanting Runyan since the day they cut Walker. I don't think Jonas Jennings is going to last more than a quarter without injury. Who do you want the Bills to sign?
On another note, I am finally starting to give up on Edwards. I have been hoping he would break out and return to early '08 form. Now I am starting to join the rest of you in thinking of starting over at QB. How about drafting Bradford, Locker or McCoy while keeping Edwards for the next year or 2?

Who are your 5 favorite and least favorite Bills players/coaches of all time?
My all time favorite Bills - Steve Tasker, Joe Cribbs, Reggie McKenzie, Don Beebe and Bruce Smith. There are so many to choose from, but these 5 stand out for me.
Coaches Marv, Chuck Knox, Lou Saban, Joe Collier and Walt Corey.
Jairus Byrd is moving up my list! His recent play, ties to the '80s through his dad and ties to my state of Oregon are making him my current favorite. Brian Moorman, Lee Evans, Fred Jackson and Terrence McGee round out my current fave five.
5 least favorite - Rob Johnson, J.P. Losman, O.J. Simpson, Al Cowlings and Mike Williams.
Least favorite Coaches - Dick Jauron, Hank Bullough, John Rauch, Gegg Williams and Wade Phillips.

A few fleeting thoughts I need to get out of my head
1. Jeff Garcia. He, like Doug Flutie, is a savvy vet who knows how to win. If we want to actually make a run at the playoffs why not give him a shot? Jauron should be in panic mode. It seems like a foregone conclusion that if the Bills don't make the playoffs he is done. At least I hope so!
2. Tim Tebow. Again, not the prototypical QB, but a winner and a leader. Definitely wouldn't use a 1st or 2nd round pick on him, but if he falls to the 3rd, I would take a gamble on him. Drew Brees is another example of a guy that wasn't the perfect specimen coming out of college, but is a smart, talented winner. Doug Flutie or Rob Johnson should have taught us something. I would want the Bills to take the best OL/LB available in rounds 1 and 2, but after that would not mind looking at QB.
3. Now that NBA season has begun, I am turning my thoughts to the Portland Trailblazers. (I live in Oregon). I'm predicting 57-25 and losing to Orlando in the Finals. The Lakers may be the safe pick from the West, but I HATE the Lakers.

A glimmer of hope.....
After all but giving up on the season after the dismal loss to the Browns, yesterday's win against a good team has given me a small glimmer of hope. Maybe the Jets will falter, the Dolphins won't get on track and the Patriots plane will crash. Seriously though, I can now picture 8 -8 rather than the 5-11 I was thinking last week.
If......Leodis would've held on, we would be 3-3 and the Pats would be too. If.....Roscoe would have been smart and the offense would've shown up vs. the Browns, we could be 4-2. Those are a couple painful ifs, but it kind of helped me think we aren't that terrible. Maybe we can still get back to semi-respectability. However, I'm not sure if a so-so season is worth it if it means Jauron sticking around. I'd rather fall flat and make sure he's gone than go 8-8 or 9-7 and have Ralph give him yet another chance.

Maybe next year.....
I hate to give up this early, but a 38 -10 loss to the 0-3 Dolphins is a REALLY bad sign. Plus, they were playing without their starting QB and one of their best defensive players. Maybe 7 - 9 or worse will get Jauron fired finally. We need a lot to change, and I think it starts at the top. I am usually the overly optimistic Bills fan, but this year just feels really bad. Maybe they'll prove me wrong, but I highly doubt it.
Now I'm hoping for the Falcons, Vikings or Saints to play the Chargers in the Super Bowl.
Watching Vikings VS. Packers tonight with my brother who is a big Vikings fan. Should be interesting. If you haven't heard the Favre Sears radio commercial it's pretty funny. He can't decide which TV to buy, and makes fun of himself and his waffling.

My All Time Cowboys Team
I'm a Bills fan, so it's hard to do this - still remembering the Super Bowl beatdowns. Anyway, see what you think. Comments welcome. If you have someone to add, who would they replace and why. I do think McBriar is the best punter, but put White on there because of his flexibility. O-line has definitely been a strong point for the Cowboys through the years.

Feel free to disagree, just give me a reason why you do. DB was tough (see earlier post). Some really good MLB/ILB choices but not so much with LB/OLB. Any good OLB I missed? Bryan Cox does not count in my book. Being a Bills fan, he was enemy #1. Just can't do it. Officially, yes he belongs, but I personally can't include Mr. double middle fingers to the crowd.

Last Cut For My All Time Dolphins Team
I am a Bills fan, but I am making all time teams for the other, lesser, NFL squads during the offseason. Just kidding - jealous of the super bowl wins. Almost done, but saved the biggest rival for last.
I am getting close to finishing my Dolphins team, but still a couple players over. I need to cut 2 DBs, and I'm trying to decide between Glenn Blackwood, Louis Oliver and William Judson. Any insight from you true Dophins fans would help.
One other question. Who do you think is the best tailback in Dolphins history? Tony Nathan may be best all-around back, Mercury fastest, Ricky Williams best power back (earlier in his career) and Jim Kiick and Ronnie Brown factor in too. I'm leaning Mercury, but can be swayed.
Thanks
