Caps fan since late 70's. Don't really remember what year exactly. I was about 5-6 years old. ad was from N Dakota, so grew up a hockey fan. His best friends wife worked at a local AAM sports radio station so we always got free tickets. Earliest memory of a being at a game in teh old Caps Center was of the team being so bad I saw a guy walk down as the teams were setting up for a faceoff and rip off his jersey and throw it onto the ice. I did however fall in love with the game and the team. For years my dad kept a Scott Stevens height chart in my closet and we would measure my growth against it. It was one of those give aways at the game. Joined the Marines in 1991 after growing up in Sterling, VA and have been back to NOVA every few years or so. Every time I do and the season is on, I take my family to a game. Last one was when Verizon was still the MCI Center and I just had to see Jagr in a Caps uniform. We got smoked by Ottawa like 6-1 but my boys loved it. I play goal now and my 12 year old is a winga that likes to crash the net! Hope to move back in a few years after retirement and really start taking in games. I'll have to satisfy myself with games against the 'Canes for the next few years until then. Oh yeah, and I can't wait to take the boys to the Kettler Complex and a gear sale!
