I'm 71 years old. I grew up listening to Claude Sullivan and later Cawood Ledford with my dad at the kitchen table. Some nights we had to go to the car and drive to find a spot where we could get WHAS. I never played the game but loved it. Dad took my brother and I to the state tournament until I got old enough to go with the guys. My last four tournaments were in 54,55,56&57. 1957 was the first year in Freedom Hall. I saw Billy Ray Lickert, King Kelly Coleman,and many more ledgends. I'm retired after 36 years in a chemical plant. Now i do yard work, watch NASCAR,and Wildcat football and Basketball.My wife has made me a big Phoenix Suns fan and Steve Nash. I've got most books written about the cats .A couple by Russell Rice and a few by Dick Weiss. At one time I had every issue of The Cat's Pause. I still have every yearbook published by Oscar and the people who bought him out!
