I Have been in the aviation industry for the past 10 years. currently managing a 25,000 sq foot facility in Savannah Ga. I grew up just south of Pittsburgh the town of Oakland, Md. My fondest memory of the pens outside of the two cups was Lemuiex's first game back from Hodgkin's disease. That was one of the magical moments i have ever witnessed

So after much deliberation on the debacle that has been this first round series, I figured I would post up a letter to my fellow Penguins fans. This decision was made MUCH easier after seeing the litany of posts regarding game three. Perhaps some of what I have seen and done can offer a unique perspective to those wit the /wrist posts as well as the /hair_here_make_me_sick_blah_puke posts.

OK so i know this isn't 'bucs' related but it is baseball related so I figured I would give you non-ps owners out there a bit of warning. This is nearly the worst sports title's I think I have ever played.

Now as I type this I'm having a dispute with an individual over at Bucsdugout.com on the successes of Gary Bettman. Why those discussions are going on over there, i haven't the foggiest. But when someone says that the aforementioned Bettman is thought kindly of in Pittsburgh, i was taken back. I haven't been in the loop per say for a few months now, but I found this a bit hard to believe. My thoughts after the jump.

I've learned and @ProspectInsider has confirmed that the Mariners intend to try shortstop Marcus Littlewood at catcher.you know things are bad when you move a guy from short to catcher.

the gm in question (who remains unnamed so it could just be a sports writer) is upset others dont want to pull the trigger on certain deals...yeah they don't want to make a bad trade. wonder how much of this is directed at NH. supposedly this was from an AL GM but what ever.

I don't know if its lost in the noise of a 39 year old former pen going across the state, but if there is one player that the organization is going to miss its Mad Max Talbot. Here is a guy who's is a certifiable 4th liner, didn't really throw significant numbers in the G, A, P, or +/- columns on the stat sheet. That wasn't Max. What was Max? Take a look after the jump.

A quick little peice on the sarge, his return to the burgh in the wrong colored jersey, as well as his relationship with geno. It is a stark reminder that unfortunatly it is a buisness and decisions like these are never easy to make (probably for both sides on this one). What is the difference between a "cheap shot artist" and a player with intensity? By all appearances that difference is about 40 goals per year. As outrage continues to pour from the Alex Ovechkin suspension, I keep hearing from caps fans as well as those that do not count themselves as either caps fans or AO fans that he plays with high level of intensity. There is no deputing this. The guys flies around the ice like an angry tazmanian devil, playing a throw back style of hockey that some wish would just go away.
