Kicking game aside.  4 minutes to go, the offense provides a poor series.  As we all know the defense recovers for us and then Johnson admits to Mack that his leg is "tight" and he makes the call to let Bailey give it a go for the game winner.

The defense put the hurt on Taylor for alot of the day.  The elements of the plains aside, you cant use weather as an excuse for not getting it done in the Red zone, even if it is Nebraska.  

We are still not as good as we can be, however, I think we would have lost this game 2 years ago.  

Very few illegal procedure penalties on the day is a plus at that arena (maybe the silent count is not so bad). The final should have been no less than 29-20. I thought Charles instigated a turning point in the run game there for awhile.  The Nebraska defense was showing great maturity and diversity throughout the day with huge stunts and blitzes, Davis should have corrected sooner.  

Bottom line, Great heart and determination showed thru.  Game breakers, TEXAS DEFENSE! Watching this game at the NATO base in Italy only makes me long for Austin that much more.  Strong work!!
