One of the biggest and most welcomed surprises other than Looper's hot start on the staff has to be Ryan "effing" Franklin.
Take a look at the line:
W- 4 L- 2 ERA- 1.89 WHIP- .930 Inn- 57+ SO-26

He is not over powering but I feel he is highly underrated and overlooked on this team. As Jim Breuer once said, "I'm not going to do what every one thinks I'm going to do. And freak out man, but who's coming with me? Who's coming with me?"

It has made me stay up all night going through my old baseball cards for the answer. Hey, I didnt feel like cheating and using the interwebs. Instead, I plan on asking this, the most knowledgeable fan base out there. Who, if any, was the last person to win back to back cy youngs, other than cy himself? Excuse my igonorance its one of my monthly brain farts.

I just watched that classic movie with Akyrod and Murphy. In it the two big wigs debated the point of environment and ability. So do you guys believe that the players here base themselves on ability or environment. i.e. spezio/weaver.? Do us, as fans have a play in our guys performence? Is there anyway that we play on them as much as they play on us? I was merely thinking that this is possible in Cardinal nation.

I was reading that God awful espn site and came across an article about our buddy Rick.

In short, it says he plans to return to the outfield and looks like he will be ready for spring training.

You know I have a soft spot for the guy but do I really think he can make this team? No. However, I sure hope he does. The guy can sure hit, but somehow I wish he would step back on that rubber and give it another try.
