No offense to Bigdavis and Marlon Favorite, but we can't have a rookie playing DT for us. He will get smashed up by 1st string lineman. He has good potential and should be on the field every game for at least a quarter. Also i believe he has what it takes to become a starter...next year. We need a big guy who can clog up the line and get double teamed every play.That guy is Kenderick Allen! Hes a solid vet and has the size we need to be able to stop the run. Marlon Favorite will make an excelent sub. Everyone is waiting for Carolina to make a trade or sign a free agent. If wee don't get a good trade option, i believe Allen is the answer.

I know i should be more aware, maybe im missing something but i have no idea of how serious and of these guys injuries are.. Can someone please give me an estimated guess on when each of these important players are getting back.

Hey i like the guy and i want him to be good, but i cant help but have doubts about him. Our run game is awesome with 3 guys to carry the ball and are threats to take in down the field, but we need jake to not turn the ball over. i was hoping to be reconvinced of his talent watchin the preseason game against the giants but that didnt really help me. He threw this one pass to smith on a fade route that was no where close. Honestly at the end of last season i was leaning towards gettin a new starter for the qb position. I looked for highlights of him and only found one game where he played like i want him to play all the time and that was the game vs the falcons where we lost 40 something to 20 something. It looks like he gets nervous in the pocket and relies on smith to catch the ball even if hes not open.

Richard Marshall is still not ready to play opposite to Chris Gamble. I like the guy and i do believe he is useful as a starter as the nickel back but he will get burnt all season against second WRs. I know we drafted Sherrod Martin and Captain Munnerlyn but these guys are rookies and i don't think we should chance them at starter quite yet. Mike Mckenzie is a vet and was released by the Saints, I'm sure he would love to play against the team that "doesn't need him anymore". Having him on the roster would make our defense great. We could play man and force more pressure on the QB with LB blitzes from Thomas Davis.

He has already proven his DT skills and Lewis just isn't cutting the pass rush from the inside. Now i know Lewis is a pretty big friggen guy but what if brayton put on 15 or 20 pounds. He could start in the middle and destroy that postion. Imagine having Brayton, Johnson, and Peppers ripping up the backfield every down. If he is strong enough to handle DT then why not? Also, the defensive end postion has more depth than you think so no worries about giving the starters a break. Along with brown coming close to a starting postion, Hilee Taylor is getting better too, his jump off the line of scrimmage is unbelievable, maybe a bit faster than brown and jp.

k so i know we spent a second round pick on brown but that doesn't mean he has to be rushed into a starting position. I don't even think he deserves it yet. Johnson was doing great last year and wasn't even starting. If Brown is battling postions with anyone it should be Brayton for 2nd string not johnson. If Johnson doesn't do as well as he should by week 4 then we can look at the rookie to start. If you think brown should start right away please let me know why
