Not that I want to question the coaching staff, but with the elite players coming out of New York and their skill sets/wants, maybe the coaching staff should consider at least throwing in some 3-4 formations.

I recently read that Ebenezer Ogundeko really liked Notre Dame because of their 3-4 defense scheme. We have struck out on Jarron Jones and Isaq Williams who would have been suited to fit into a 3-4 scheme. Chandler Jones was popular leading up to the draft because of the belief he could be a very good 3-4 linebacker/defensive end. With all these players that are suited for a 3-4 defense living in our backyard, maybe the coaching staff should look into at least experimenting with the 3-4 to help attract the type of athletes that New York is producing and the coaches are recruiting.

All that being said, I trust the coaching staff to do what is best for the team, as their football knowledge is light years ahead of mine.

Pretty sure that Troy Nunes called this a while ago, and its finally come.

From Syracuse.com:

Syracuse University football coach Doug Marrone announced Monday that assistant head coach/special teams coordinator Bob Casullo is no longer with the football program.

Casullo was in charge of both special teams and tight ends this season. Marrone said the two decided to part ways over the weekend. Marrone would not specify if there was an incident or if the reasons for Casullo's departure had built up over time.

Defensive backs coach John Anselmo will take over Syracuse's special teams unit for the final regular season game on Saturday against Boston College as well as the bowl game. Quarterbacks coach Nathaniel Hackett will take over the tight ends.
