Grew up an Orioles fan; mainly because my city's baseball team was Baltimore's Triple AAA affiliate for years - the Rochester Red Wings. I saw Murray & Ripken, Baylor, Grich, Mussina, Shilling & Boddicker. And who can forget honey-bear -- Floyd Rayford or P.J. Forbes.
Well, I'm still in Rochester, NY. The O's are out & the Twins are in. They've only been here a few years & I've seen a lot of very good players -- Morneau, Mauer, Liriano, Cuddyer and well most of the Twins of today.
I love baseball & watch every single O's game thanks to Extra Innings Baseball package.
I spent Sunday 07/29/07 (my 1-year wedding anniversary) in Cooperstown, NY with a lot of people I don't know, celebrating the enshrinement of Cal Ripken, Jr.
My wife allowed me to name our dog Ripken, meaning now I can't name any of my children after my favorite player. I thought Ripken would have been a great middle name, but my dog enjoys it, plus it rolls off the tongue better than Markakis -- my original choice.
I love the Orioles and I swear, there will be NO sleep for weeks when we get another ring.

Welcoming Kevin Millar to the 150 club.
Kevin Millar couldn't have picked a better time to hit home run #150 (&151) against the Jankees. Congratulations to Kevin. Keep swinging hard & I like the fact that he is looking towards right field a little more often this year.
Others, going the other way... Ramone with 2 hits to right & Aubrey with his liner to left-center in the 11th.
There's nothing better than seeing NY not only behind us, but in the basement. Keep fighting boys. Let's get that sweep.

Orioles -- 1 game over .500
I won’t consider the dream of .500 over quit yet. I’m not expecting too much this year, just wishing for a .500 season - like the past few years. Sure the Birds are 8 – 7, and NYY is coming to town, but you have to remember, they used 5 pitchers on Wednesday night. I fully expect them to use another 4-5 tonight. Then the come to Baltimore with 2 youngsters pitching (Hughs & Kennedy) on Friday & Saturday & and afternoon start for Pettite on Sunday. Will the Jankees have enough pitching? Let’s just hope the O’s bust out of their hitting slump.
I’m fully expecting them the win 2 of 3 this weekend.
GO ORIOLES - PLEASE THROW STRIKES; 1st pitch strikes would be nice
