One thing to look forward to at Petco Park...

Madonna will be performing at Petco Park on November 4th. I'm personally stoked about this, the Padres aren't doing their job getting me to go to Petco Park, but this... this is something that I cannot afford to miss. I went to the Rolling Stones concert at Petco and it was the best concert I've ever seen! I'm pretty sure the Madonna concert will be one of the best concerts EVER! =]

Padres FriarFest 2008

By now you've seen pictures and heard stories from this year's FriarFest. I have a condensed version of what happened of my day with Nicole (freelunch), Amanda (mandalay), and Kish (kish mabuti).

Since my partner in crime, Stephanie (Stephy08) and my fellow member of the 18yods, Shayna (padresgirlforlife44) couldn't go to FriarFest, I went with my favorite college girls. As we waited for the gates to open we came up with some great ideas that we'll reveal later on. I'll just say that its going to be similar to the Phillie's "Chase's Chicks," but ours is going to be better. ;)

The gates finally opened and we headed to the garage sale to look for some stuff while we wasted some time before the Heath Bell autograph session. I did not find the Jusin Hampson jersey I wanted but I settled with his locker nameplate as well as Justin Germano's locker nameplate & BP hat (no i'm not wearing that hat. that's gross).

We headed to section 113 to sit and wait for Heath. Nicole went to third base to meet up w/ Jonny Dub and Jbox. Amanda, Kish, and I later got our turn. One of my dreams came true during FriarFest. I finally got a picture taken with Jonny Dub. It was great. Haha.

Fast forward to Heath Bell. Heath really liked Nicole's GLB shirt and even said that he wanted one! Nicole & Amanda talked to Heath about cookies and plans to annoy him more this coming season.

After Heath's autograph session we headed to get vouchers for the Justin Hampson autograph session. But there were none left! We all got bummed out, but I told them that last year Stephanie and I asked Justin both days if we could wait till he was done with his autographs to take pictures and talk with him, and he said yes.

Since the autograph session started at 1:30pm,we had some time to kill. We were heading to the outfield to take some pictures, when we bumped into Jonny Dub and Jbox. While we were talking most of you by now know that we were all over the TVs at Petco Park.

After our couple minutes of fame we continued went and had our photo shoot as well as leave some messages on the outfield wall.

Finally we headed to the section where Justin was going to be and we decided to wait right in front of the crowd of people waiting for Justin and K-Cam. We wanted to be the first ones they would see. ;)

A couple minutes later Justin and Kevin started walking towards the wrong section then had to turn and walk towards us. We started walking towards them so I could ask Justin if we could wait till he was done w/ his autographs to take pictures w/ him because they ran our of vouchers. He said that they probably threw away the vouchers. Since Scott Hairton's & Jerry Coleman's autograph session was still on and Justin and Kevin were just standing there, we just had them autograph the posters and take pictures w/ us before they went up to their autograph sessions.

Kish showed them her awesome posters which I know they love. Who doesn't love Kish's artistic and creative posters? We made each of them hold their own posters so they could take a picture w/ Kish. I have to say that was the funniest moment. After that I went over to Justin to talk w/ him and ask him if he could autograph his locker nameplate.

He noticed that Stephanie was missing and I told him that she was sick. After some more laughs and getting my locker nameplate autograph with a special message (he wrote: Laura, Looking forward to seeing you all summer.) I reminded Justin on how last year at FriarFest I promised him a poster if he made the year, and I told him that this year I would upgrade him to a t-shirt. He liked that and even asked if we could have rhinestones on the t-shirt. Who knew that Justin liked sparkly stuff?

The guys said bye and headed to their autograph session. I also learned something new about Justin. I learned that he's married. Haha. I didn't notice his wedding band, Nicole, Amanda, and Kish told me that they saw it and then I saw it on my camera. We took the clubhouse tour. One of the things I noticed were all of Josh Bard's pictures of his family and baby. I also noticed pictures of little kids on Cla's locker. I don't know if those are his nephews but there were a lot of pictures of kids.

Overall I had a great day. We had a lot of fun. We took a lot of pictures, made plans for this coming season, and got our mission to take a picture of Justin and his poster accomplished.

she turns 18 today! but sorry boys she's taken... lol i just want to wish a very happy birthday to a great friend and obsessed jake peavy fan. the 18yogp is officially born! the padres players better watch out.. lol ;)jk we'll be the same way once the season starts. we'll probably still get nervous around the players and act like dorks.

The Last Home Game of the Regular Season

The day started off in the right foot. It was Stephy08's and my friend Angela's birthday and we decided to treat her to a Padres game and hopefully rookie hazing. We got to Petco Park early and met up w/ padresgirlforlife44 and freelunch by the dugout. Pgfl44 pointed out that Chris Young was giving out autographs so I headed out to see if I could get an autograph. I didn't get an autograph, it seems like my strategy of pushing people from Photo Day didn't work for me this time. I went back to our little group and pointed out to freelunch that Pad Squad Andre was right there and that we should go and take a picture w/ him. We headed over to ask Andre while the other girls followed. Andre was nothing but sweet to us and told us to wait for him. When he was done w/ the pre-game ceremony he came to us and ready to take pictures w/ the girls from GLB. But before we took a picture he told Angela that he liked her flowery dress. Angela took a picture and thought that it was enough, but Pad Squad Andre wanted more pictures, and more pictures we took. Andre asked us where we were going to sit and Stephy08, Angela, and I told him that we were sitting all somewhere in the upper reserved seats and told us that we could follow him to right field lower reserved and he would be able to find us seats there. But before we headed to meet Andre, Stephy08, freelunch, and I had to show Cla and Heath Bell their posters. While the bullpen guys were talking we were yelling at Kooz and waving at him, we got a smile and a really crappy wave from him which cracked me up. He just did this little wave by his waist and then started talking to Jim Malone. Finally the bullpen started walking and we started waving the posters and shouting for Cla, Justin Hampson, and Heath. They smiled (duh!) and waved. Justin signaled for his poster but we didn't have any of his posters w/ us... oops! Freelunch went to her seat, and Steph, Angela, and I headed to meet up w/ Andre. You all know what happened in the game, so I don't have to go into detail about that. Andre gave me a cowgirl hat though! ;) By the 8th inning Steph and Angela headed over to the garage to save pgfl44, freelunch, and i a spot for rookie hazing, while I went over to where pgfl44 was sitting to see the rest of the game and the "Shirts Off Their Backs" ceremony. Thank God I didn't win a jersey! That was really messed up that two Pad Squad members just handed the jerseys to the winners.

Pgfl44 and I headed over to meet w/ the other girls at the garage and this time we had to wait a LOT! They took forever! Freelunch showed us her "We'll miss you Justin H." poster she made during the game. We noticed that some of the players were leaving in their cars and quickly came up with the conclusion that there was no rookie hazing. Mama Giles came out and Steph as well as the other girls wanted me to take a picture of her, and I did... All I have to say is that she is an interesting character. As soon as we saw Justin Hampson walking towards the bus freelunch handed Steph to hold the poster, but Steph was too shy, so I took over and held the poster. I may had hit Steph a couple of times but at least we made Justin smile. He told us that he'll be back, we thought he meant that he was coming right out again... but that didn't happen. We yelled and waved at the other players but we didn't get much just a wave from a couple of players. Kooz pretended that he was crying and that's pretty much all we got. Freelunch and I ran to the corner of the street to wave and show some posters as the bus was driving away. And that was the end of our day. It could had been better but at least we managed to make it fun despite of a sweep,a crappy "Shirts Off Their Backs" ceremony, and no rookie hazing.

Hott Sunday Afternoon

So the day began with extremely hot weather. Stephanie, Shayna (Padresgirlforlife44), and I finally met and clicked right
away. Our seats were incredible, we sat in the Picnic terrace which is RIGHT behind the bullpen. We got there by going through the tunnel.

As we were sitting there Justin Hampson walked by and we waved at him. He then approached us and began talking to us. For the FIRST time we were not shy. We introduced Shayna and Justin said "Hi Shayna, I'm Justin". Shayna replied by saying a very giggly "I know". We laughed, we cried, we exchanged juicy gossip about partying.

As we were talking to Justin, the usher dude told us that we shouldn't be talking to the players during the game and that Justin should know better. Buddy doesn't like when players talk to fans and Justin does it a lot. During our conversation with Justin, this blonde girl kept staring at us. After we got in trouble, she kept giving us dirty looks. We don't know if it was his girlfriend or someone he partied with but she was very jealous for some reason.

Because of the heat we then sat on the toyota terrace level but not for long because that bullpen finally came out and so we went back to the picnic terrace. Stephy and Shayna waved at Justin. Cla was there and looking really cute. Stephy and Cla just kept exchanging stares even though Stephy was trying to play if off all cool. But she didn't do that very well.

Then we waited after the game to say goodbye to the players. Some players came up to fans to give autographs like Jake Peavy, Koozy, Sledge, and Chris Young. Justin came out with Cla and Justin saw us. He smiled and waved. Then out of nowhere Shayna and Stephanie shrieked and when I turned around Justin was there. He told us that we should come to more games together because we're good luck for him. He didn't sign any autographs and only talked to us. He loves us because we're his good luck charms. After that all 3 of us were shaking.

When Sledge came Stephanie told him that she really liked his tie, he replied by saying thank you with a big ole smile. Shayna was SUPER happy and almost fainted when Jake came up and finally autographed her picture from last year's celebrity pour.

We all had fun under the sun. I have no idea what happened in the game...thanks to Justin. The End.

An Awesome Day At Petco Park

Once upon a time two girls named Stephanie and Laura had an awesome day. Their awesome day began with a tour of the Padres front office. As they walked to the tunnel, the two young beautiful girls saw a white haired man with a lot of chest hair named Kevin Towers. As they walked they finally arrived at their destination, the side of the Giants dugout. As they stood there, they began to speak to Tim Flannery. Although Stephanie and Laura didn't speak at all, they sure smiled a whole lot. Stephanie waved at Bochy like a stalker with her big ol' smile. Then Stephanie and Laura had the oppurtunity to take a picture with him and tell him how much they missed him. Then they had the chance to be on the Spanish broadcast radio and made a shout out to family and friends and of course jbox. Then Laura and Stephanie enjoyed the wondeful sweep that the Padres provided.

After the game, Laura and Stephanie were headed to Horton Plaza. But Stephanie had a brilliant idea to stay and say goodbye to the Padres. As the Giants were leaving, Laura screamed hysterically for Barry. Not Barry Bonds but Barry Zito. What shocked them the most was the very colorful and gay looking shirt that Omar Vizquel wore. At first Stephanie thought that it was Zito but then as he approached she saw that he was bald.Boomer had the most prettiest bag of them all. A Louis Vuitton bag that Stephanie fell in love with. Both yelled "I love your bag Boomer". He ignored them and kept on walkin'. Then Khalil came out and Stephanie started to hypervenalate. As he waved to the crowd, she yelled "I love you." Both girls yelled "have fun" and "buckle your seat belts." Then Germano laughed at them and their craziness. Jake Peavy and Chris Young came to the fans and signed autographs. Jake autographed a really nice picture for Stephanie. Laura and Steph, both got very giggly when Jake was right in front of them. Then Steph and Laura waved at the bus goodbye and farewell. Again Stephanie yelled "I love you" to Khalil which made Greg Maddux laugh.

After the celebrity Pour at Lou & Mickey's, Stephanie, Angela, and I were walking to Horton Plaza to meet my dad there. As we were walking we passed Moose's and we saw "bartender night" and Stephanie knew that there were going to be Padre players there. So, I was bored one day during my vacations and I was on myspace looking through people's pictures and I found these from that "bartender night". All I can say its that they're interesting pictures. The girl who is making out w/ Koozy supposedly paid $425 for that.

Celebrity Pour

So Angiegopadres(angela), Stephy08(stephanie), and I went to the padres game yesterday... which was hot!! we all ended up sunburned execpt stephanie who ended up darker. We got there early and we headed to the dugout and saw justin hampson. We asked him to autograph the pictures we took w/ him. He signed our pictures and he began talking to us but stephanie and I had a little jbox moment... we didn't know what to ask and couldn't come up w/ a subject to talk to him about! He was really nice and came up w/ the whole conversation.

After the Padres loss, we went to the Celebrity Pour at Lou and Mickey's. We got free stuff like pins, bandanas, mini foam fingers and ither stuff. Heath Beel and Mike Cameron were the first ones to arrive. John Weisbarth and Bob were also there. We got our pictures from photo day signed.We gave advice to Heath Bell about his beard. He asked us which one was better, his new one or old one... we told him the old one.
We took a picture with John and Bob which we thought was really funny. Then Cla, Koozy, Mark Grant, Jane Mitchell came over from Dick's Last Resort. Stephanie and I asked Mud to sign our Shillelaghs and for a picture. Then we went to get pictures and autographs from Cla and Koozy. Stephanie took a really cute picture with her love, Koozy. Then camera lady asked her if she could take a picture of her and Koozy. Then we went over to Cla who recognized Stephanie. He was pretty drunk... we couldn't even take a decent picture w/ him... either he was talking or we were talking. He said some random stuff and started telling us a lot of stuff about Justin Hampson when Stephanie and I mentioned his name.

Overall we had a great time! We got Padres banners and Angela got to meet some Padre players and go to her first game.
