I just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone here a very Merry Christmas!! I was awaken about 4:30 this morning, not from the sounds of my son laughing and screaming at what Santa had brought but to the sounds of him taking the plastic wrapping off of one of his new PS3 games that my wife had left under the tree for him to find. Man there is a world of difference between little kids and teenagers when it comes to Christmas morning. Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and ROLL TIDE!!!

Im sorry if this has been covered somewhere else, but I have not had time to read everything today. But according to ESPN radio, Tennessee made a request to the SEC and Alabama to wear there orange home jerseys this week when they come to Bryant Denny stadium to play the Tide. According to a new rule issued by the NCAA, both teams can wear there home colors in the conference and the home team has no problem with it. According to the report the SEC said it was fine but Alabama quickly denied them. Can you imagine how disgusting it would have been to see that nasty orange color not only in the stands but on the feild too.  ROLL TIDE ROLL over there puckie orange asses.

As I was watching the game yesterday, I realized I had not heard anything lately about DJ Flucker. Has anyone got any of the latest information on how he is looking. I know earlier in the year you could hear his name it seemed like every other day. So any info would be helpful. Thanks and Roll Tide!!

I'm not sure if anyone has covered this yet or not but just wanted to let everyone know that there is gonna be a free concert Saturday afternoon at Olympic Centennial Park. It starts at 3:45 local time and its gonna feature Collective Soul and Drivin and Cryin. I know that will be cutting it close if your planning on doing some tailgateing before getting to the Dome but just thought i would throw that out there if anyone was interested.

Hey guys long time no blog... anyway I was in Atlanta yesterday (July 28) for a business conference and the local sports talk station was about to have segment on whether or not JPW would actually be wearing a Falcons uniform this fall. Sadly I had to be in  a meeting before the segment started. So I guess my question is... is there any news about him actually being on the sideline this year or have you guys heard anything lately. I know yall have bigger and better connections than me. RTR!!

Since were in a down time with most of our usual topics why dont we spend this time to get to know each other a little better. Just throw anything out there you dont mind people knowing about you. Since I have to get to the dreaded 75 words I'll start. Im married with one son (GOD forgive him he is a barner). Just to break the slow rainy wednesday blues...i just wanted to see if you guys had saw the fottage of the basketball game in Montgomery yesterday between Valley High and Carver? and yes i am from valley... but my thinking after seeing the footage, these kids should be in mixed martial arts or something. there just teens but they look like they can fight like grown men ( ok maybe not) but if you havent seen the footage you can go to wsfa.com and see the footage there. when i played football in high school it was nothing to have a bench clearing brawl but it was over in just a few minutes and we went back to playing... in montgomery it was the fans that made it so bad yestrday. they made themselves look like fools. anyway does anyone remember lamanski hall or john copeland who played for the tide, well Valley high is where they hailed from. maybe i have my 75 words in by now and RTR!!

hey guys, i have not had time to check things out to close this morning but our local radio show here in valley, alabama (yes where the basketball brawlers are from) was talking about Fowler commiting to bama but said he would not be able to enroll until december. I think he is a runnign back and from what they were saying if you can give a 5 star rating as your highest you would be shorting him by about 10 stars. they also said there is like a ten minute clip on you tube. but i know you guys are more in the loop more than i am most of the time and i just wanted to see if you had more info on him or any comments. thanks and roll tide!!

I know this might sound like small change with all else going on in the sports world, but it was reported today on our local radio sports news, that Kiffen and his flunkies at UcheaT committed a couple of secondary recruiting violations. It seems that they aloowed several recruits ( on an offiacl visit) to pertisapate in a mock news confrence, ( never seen one of those before) and to walk out on the field at the football stadium using a fog machine. According to the report it is against the rules to allow recruits to experiance anything that would simulate a real game atmosphere. Have you guys ever heard anything tike this before? Also i know that most everyone is planning on being at the A day game, and i was just wondering where you guys usually meet up at, i would love to meet you guys in person. ( ok maybe i  got my 75 words in today) RTR!

the last couple weeks, there has been much talk about ol' JOPA at penn state retireing. a story that is out is saying that he is affraid to quit coaching because he does not want to fall to the same fate as his very close friend Bear Bryant, dieing so soon after retireing. i was only 6 when Coach Bryant retired so i really dont remember a lot from those years. does any of you guys that might have a good clear mind in those years remember jopa and bear bryant's friendship. i have always had a very sour taste in my mouth towards penn st for some reason but when i heard that story, a small, very small i might say, peice of my cold hard heart may have warmed and softned for ol' JOE. any one have any rememberances on this story? thanks for help.  Roll Tide!!

Remember before the season started, and i think i  speak for almost everyone, we were completly satisfied with an 8 and 4 season with a decent bowl? Now look where we are, were number 1 and things are looking pretty good for the rest of the season, as long as the team keeps the thinking caps on and keep looking at the big picture.... which is  concentrating on the game at hand... get thru it and then look to the next game at hand, and so forth and so on. BUTTTTTTTTTTT... for the rest of us, as fans we can look at the big picture, beating the corndogs, croom's flunkies, the barners, florida in the sec championship, and who every else is left to dare think they are worthy enough to try to contend with the tide. So from here on out folks lets hope for the best, prepare for the worst, and YELL at the tops of your lungs...ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!  here is something to think about... they are predicting for the 2009 season to be bama's break out season...can you imagine??

last night as i lay there trying to go to sleep, and my mind began to wonder as it usually does... to alabama football. My thoughts were, so many people say they are overall SEC fans and they  pull for a perticular team also. BUT as i began to drift off to  sleep i realized i am really Just an alabama fan. I cant say that i really can pull for any other team except alabama. i will pull for other sec teams when they play oh i dont know...LSwho, the villes of tennesse, and of course the barners of the plains. so my question is im i a bad person for not pulling for the toughest conference there is just because alabama gracies it with its presense or am i joined by many of you and able to say i bleed only crimson and white and i only say ROLL TIDE ROLL!!! you know i might pull for china if they played lsu, auburn or tennesse!!! what do you guys think? roll tide!!

after that terrible second half i would have to say i dont want to be in the locker room right now to get the chewing out i know saint nick is giving. and they deserve it i should say. i scared my son so bad during the 4th quarter , yelling and jumping up and down,when bama missed those two sacks he wont watch any more football with me right now. what is going to have to  take place to get these guys to play consistint the whole game... maybe we can do it next week
