The Dream Shake Brooks vs. Dragic: A Suns View

I was trolling around and found a post of how Phoenix fans feel about Aaron Brooks' time with the Suns. Have a read for some hilarity in the commentary and to be reminded of how the Rockets are currently killing it.

Goran Dragic Killing It (Not Really) In Houston While Brooks Fails To Impress In Phoenix

These are Seth Pollack's observations if you're not in the mood to veer away from home base.

Brooks with the Suns
  • Brooks is also shooting better after the trade: 3P% up to .346 from .284 although for some reason his free throw shooting took a dive from .940 to .778.
  • While Goran Dragic saw his assist and turnover drop when he went from the Suns pick and roll system, Brooks hasn't seen any increase in either number.
  • Brooks' PER has gone from 11.8 with the Rockets to 17.4 with the Suns.

The Dream Shake Yao on Trading Block

Wojnarowski is told by "league sources" that Houston is dangling Yao in trade scenarios. $8 million of Yao's $17.7 million is insured and teams could use his contract as a way to save costs, or simply hope he gets better with time. Although it is disheartening to imagine a complete separation with Yao, this is business and shopping him now is better then later.

Trade talk should always be taken with a grain of salt, but we all know Wojnarowski's reputation.

The Dream Shake Dampier in Houston on 9/20

According to David Aldridge Erick Dampier is meeting with the Rockets today (Monday) to discuss a possible signing.

In his most recent NBA article David states:

"...don't be surprised if the Rockets get a deal done quickly with recently waived Bobcats center Erick Dampier to provide some insurance. I'm told Damp will be in Houston on Monday to meet with the Rockets and the team is hoping he'll prefer being near his Dallas home, with the possibility of those non-Yao minutes available, over the likes of Miami and other teams looking to land the veteran."

Obviously this is not a huge signing, but it will bring us closer to the ever-so coveted "top 10 defensive team" title. Having  two backup centers, one offensively gifted and one defensively focused will be a huge luxury for the team and for Yao's grumpy right foot...

The Dream Shake Luis & Kyle New Contract Press Conference

[From the FanPosts. Thanks for reaching out, sir. -- Tom]

Luis Scola and Kyle Lowry were called in to discuss their newly signed contract extensions today at 3 P.M. with Daryl Morey, and I had the opportunity to sit in and watch the media pick their brains for their sentiments on the matter. I was seated in the fourth row talking about the ridiculousness of KFC’s Double-Down with Bill Worrell immediately in front of me when Daryl Morey walked in followed by the "Ice Cream Man" and "Bulldog".  Here are some of the points I got out of the meeting and how the interviewees felt about certain topics pertaining to the team.

The Dream Shake Sessions for PFs?

Since we don't have a shooting guard (Barry, T-Mac, White) and 6 possible PFs, what if Morey traded a couple forwards (Dorsey, Landry) for Ramon Sessions? It's obvious that Morey is going to pull together a trade for a solid shooter/play maker with a floor running mentality (god forbid it be AI) to take the reins until the Rockets have more playing room for a ground breaking trade(s). Ramon is a good shooter and distributer... Does anyone have any good PF for SG trade possibilities?
