Spring Training TV schedule here
22 Spring Training games will be televised this March/April. I can't remember the last time we had so many of these on TV, can you?? Do not know yet for sure, but would imagine these games will be replayed later the same day for those of you that actually work...

ANGELS FAN CRUISE 2012
So, as most of you know, I'm going on the Angels Fan Cruise, and we leave this Friday afternoon. It's a short, 3 day adventure with about 150 Angels fans and some of the players and front office/radio people. We get off the ship bright and early Monday morning, so final thoughts will be posted after I arrive home from the port. This will be my 8th Angels Fan Cruise. I missed the first one, but haven't missed one since.
The Rev has asked me to write about it -as it happens- and I will try my best to write as much as possible, but the pictures will be uploaded on the Halos Heaven Facebook Page, since that's the easiest way for me to upload them and save them all.

Asking for assistance
I am trying to collect a season seat ticket stub from every game that my Angels play at other stadiums. Can anyone help me with one from the WEDNESDAY game?? A friend gave me theirs from Monday and Tuesday, but had given their tix away for Wednesday. I will pay a reasonable amount as long as it doesn't look like it's been through the washer. Please email me at pattimelt95 @ aol. Thank you.
All-Star Invoices have been sent--
and they are available in your "My Angels Account" if you are in the mood to cringe!! My SINGLE ticket in LF Pavilion has $87 in BS charges added ON TOP of the cost of the tickets themselves!!
Paul Byrd traded to Red Sox
Red Sox acquire Byrd from Indians Associated Press Updated: August 12, 2008, 4:17 PM ET Comment Email Print BOSTON -- The Boston Red Sox have acquired pitcher Paul Byrd in a trade with the Cleveland Indians. Paul Byrd Starting Pitcher Cleveland Indians Profile 2008 Season Stats GM W L BB K ERA 22 7 10 24 56 4.53 The Red Sox will send either a player to be named or cash to the Indians. The 37-year-old Byrd is 7-10 with a 4.53 ERA this season. But the right-hander has won all four of his starts since the All-Star break. Boston leads the AL wild-card race. Greetings from NYC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just a quick note, since I'm on my way to sightsee---I uploaded some pictures I took last night at the game. http://s29.photobucket.com/albums/c282/pattimelt95/yankees%20731/ Will type more later.,
More help, please??
I tried to post on the MLB board, but the fans there just won't help, so I have come back to my brothers and sisters of SBNation to answer some more stupid questions before I make an idiot out of myself at Yankee Stadium (ok, so that will be easy since I'll not be in Yankee gear, I get it... :) ).
I have tickets for section 14, Box 50 Row D.. But I can't find it on any map!!!!! Can someone tell me where Box 50 Row D is??? I can find section 14.. LOL, so I'm not COMPLETELY stupid.
Also, if anyone here would be so kind as to tell me the name of the hotel where the visiting team stays, I would be extremely grateful. Not a stalker, I promise.
Thanks.
SAUNDERS, SANTANA AND K-ROD to the ALL-STAR game!!!!!!
Lackey got shafted, and no Vlad, either..

PERCY to sign minor league deal and retire MONDAY
From the official site:
TROY PERCIVAL TO RETIRE AS AN ANGEL
Angels' all-time saves leader will sign a minor league contract with club and retire
ANAHEIM, CA - The Angels Thursday announced that Troy Percival, the club's
all-time saves leader, will sign a minor league contract next Monday and
then officially retire. To commemorate the event, Percival will be on hand
Opening Night at Angel Stadium on April 2 to throw out the honorary first pitch.
"I'm very proud to be a part of this organization," said Percival. "This
club has always embraced me and my family. I'm honored to retire as an
Angel."
"Troy Percival has been an integral part of the success and tradition of
Angels Baseball for many years," said Angels Vice President & General
Manager Bill Stoneman. "It is very appropriate that he retire as an
Angel."
Percival, who currently serves as an Angels' special assignment pitching
instructor, pitched 11 seasons in the Majors with the Angels (1995-2004)
and Tigers (2005-2006), compiling a 30-41 record with 324 saves and 3.10
ERA (611.2 IP - 211 ER) in 605 games. His 324 saves entering 2007 is tied
for 11th (Billy Wagner) on the all-time Major League list. He stands as
the Angels' lifetime leader in saves (316) and games pitched (579).
He spent the entire 2006 season on the disabled list with the Tigers after
suffering a serious injury to his right forearm in July 2005 while pitching
for Detroit. Percival worked for the Tigers as an advance scout in 2006.
A key member of Angels' 2002 World Series team, he was on the mound for
each of the Angels' three series-clinching victories of the 2002
Post-Season and his seven saves (seven chances) during the 2002 playoffs
tied a Major League Post-Season record. He logged a career-high 42 saves
in 1998 and enjoyed his best season in 2002 with a 4-1 record, 40 saves, 68
strikeouts and 1.92 ERA.
The four-time All-Star resides in Riverside, CA, with his wife Michelle and
children
Cole and Avery.

Sports Illustrated Fan Value Index for 06
Found at http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/baseball/mlb/09/11/fvi.summary/index.html
Last year SI.com writers analyzed each major league ballpark from a fan's vantage point in order to determine which venues offered the best value and experience. But this time around we went to the best source: the fans. In a survey on SI.com we asked readers to rank their hometown parks on a variety of criteria, from parking prices to the availability of restrooms to the quality of concessions. We also asked for opinions on what makes the park special -- or disappointing. More than 8,500 responded.
We broke the fan experience down into seven categories and rated each on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best.
The categories included:
Average ticket price
Average cost of concessions/souvenirs
Accessibility
Amenities
Atmosphere
Neighborhood
Team
Top 10??? -----NOTE #1-----
Fan Value Index: Final Rankings
Rank Team Stadium
1 L.A. Angels Angel Stadium
2 Colorado Rockies Coors Field
3 Pittsburgh Pirates PNC Park
4 Milwaukee Brewers Miller Park
5 Texas Rangers Ameriquest Field
6 Detroit Tigers Comerica Park
7 Cleveland Indians Jacobs Field
8 Chicago White Sox U.S. Cellular Field
9 Kansas City Royals Kauffman Stadium
10 Minnesota Twins HHH Metrodome
I have the need to share:
So today I get my first commission check from a real estate transaction. (I am an assistant to an agent.) The check was for $500. I thought that was a good way to handle today.
Well, I just got the munchies, and went to 7-11. While I was there, I bought some $1 scratchers, and won $6 back. With that $6, I bought two of the $3 Emerald Green scratchers. I started scratching, looking for the number 7-- but never saw one. What I did see was
a GREEN EMERALD!!!!!!!!!!
I won $1000!!!!!!!!
When I can scan the ticket tomorrow (don't want hubby to know about the winnings!!) I will scan and figure out how to post the damn thing on here or give you guys a link so you can see it. It's a BEAUTIFUL thing. Now the Angels need to make the playoffs cause I can AFFORD to go!!!!!!!!
:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

It's a little early, don't you think??? Why do they need this at the BEGINNING of August?? Regular payments aren't normally due until the end of August/beginning of September...

Red Sox WS ring up for sale on ebay
Has anyone seen this?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200006567696&fromMakeTrack=true
Seems whoever owned this ring wants to use it's sale to pay off student loans, etc., and I have no problem with that.
But I remember when the Angels won the WS, one of OUR employees tried to sell their ring and ended up having to GIVE the ring back to the Angels and then got fired from their job... Are each team's rules different??

UKHalo
I don't know what kind of music you like, but my hubby will be in Europe for 2 weeks starting June 1--he's touring with a band called 10 years (some sort of metal band, I think) and they are doing some of the festivals over there... If you'd care to meet a fellow Angels fan, I imagine I can hook you two up somewhere along the way (you can check the band's schedule at www.pollstar.com and search under 10 years).
Are you still looking for that Quakes hat?? I can send it over with him....
