New York Giants rookie Prince Amukamara broke a bone in his foot on Saturday night in just his second practice.

Aug 7, 2011 - Just two practices into his NFL career, New York Giants rookie Prince Amukamara suffered a serious foot injury that may keep him out of action for a significant amount of time. Amukamara finally signed with the Giants late last week, joining the team for training camp on Friday. But on Saturday night, Amukamara suffered a fractured fifth metatarsal, and is now facing surgery.

According to a report from ESPN New York, Amukamara will go under the knife to have a screw inserted into the foot to stabilize the broken bone.

Amukamara, the Giants' first-round selection in the 2011 NFL draft, left midway through Saturday night's practice with a member of the Giants' medical staff, and X-rays revealed the fracture, which will require a procedure in which a screw will be inserted into his left foot. It was just Amukamara's second practice with the team after becoming the last first-rounder to sign a

Even though we lost today .......... I honestly think we are going to be better than expected.....like 9-7 good... im just saying.... WE BEAT  "lost" to the Bears By way of a bad call..... with Stafford out early .... we Just ran right with the Eagles, with out Stafford..... and philly was right in the hunt against Greenbay...... Chicago Just beat the Cowboys .... a team that was supposed to be good this year....... It is starting to look like a lock out will happen next year since the Owners and the Players Union seem no where close to a deal. I was Just thinking that it would be just our luck as Lions Fans that when our team is finally competitive .....sure enough there won't be football.... im not so sure I could handle this without completely losing my MIND! ..... After last nights game when all of the players walked out holding up the Number 1 Finger symbolizing the solidarity of the players union i started to look into this and if you havent yet we as fans need to and start an up ROAR..... because it looks as if when we As lions fans are just starting to ROAR again they are going to rip football away from us with this rediculous lock out. I just read from m live that we were thinking about signing lb Rocky Boiman as of last night so i googled him and where does wiki say he plays but with the detroit lions as of august 30. He has played for both schwartz and Gunther. He played for the Titans and Cheifs. He is a Big Red headed guy so I like him already being that i have red hair.... just kidding he was a fourth round pick in 2002 for the titans then Colts Eagles Cheifs , Steelers and now the lions. wiki says that he also campaigned for John McCain. Thats right I'm Drinking that koolaid I was just checking out some of the NFL networks top qb/wrs to ever play the game and im thinking that by the time stafford and calvins careers are rolling they will be ranked right with those guys.

Just got this note via fan feeder on twitter. Chester Pitts to meet with lions on wednesday . I dont know much about this guy and am feeling lazy tonight so tell me what you guys think of this guy ....... does this mean no okung and we get suh?  I just know we need to protect matts ass.

What will be the story on Dorsey?  will he just be a rotation guy or is he actually going to be good? This is just a cheers to all of the lions fans who post in here and check all of the news and updates at this time of the year. Im sittin here on a Saturday drinking a red beer and i was thinking of how much heart it takes to be a lions fan ......im all the way from Montana and could have chose any team to root for being there is no local team here but i chose the lions on my own when i was about a 5th grader and have stuck with them even through the "Perfect Season" it takes a real fan to stay here and not go all band wagon.   But Cheers to all of you fans and friends that know how great it is going to be to watch this franchise turn it all around ......mark my word .... we will be great ... even if its in 2053 ... i will still be here and im sure you guys will too....so heres to the great offseason and future we will have.... CHEERS !
