Dalembert's deal with Dallas

2

Adrian Wojnarowski: Free agent center Sam Dalembert's deal with Dallas: two years, $7.5M, league sources tell Y! Partial guarantee for 2014-'15 season. Twitter @WojYahooNBA Read more at http://hoopshype.com/rumors.htm#yr22I1e2aFfbmAp3.99 So Dallas got one of the better defensive centers for basically what we paid Speights. I trust our ownership and I know Dalembert has issues, but I have a feeling this would end up being a major regret.

Cleveland looks to trade #1 for Love (or scoring forward)

10

"The Cavs have acknowledged that they will listen to offers for the top pick, and rival executives say they are looking for an established scoring forward in return. Should they keep the top pick, the expectation is that they will go big. The backcourt is locked in, with the top pick in 2011, Kyrie Irving, and the fourth pick in '12, Dion Waiters. Expect the Cavs to snap up Noel, a 7-foot defensive menace who will solidify the middle, either at power forward or center, and fortify a defense that ranked last in the NBA in field-goal defense (47.6) this season. SI.com" "The Cleveland Cavaliers are fielding calls from everywhere, but the team they’d really like to to make a deal with is Minnesota. And if the Timberwolves are willing to surrender Kevin Love, the No. 1 pick is available to them, sources tell SheridanHoops.com." If Cavs can't get love. Maybe they would be willing to take an all-star power forward (Lee). for the 1st pick. BTW, if the Cavs were down (wishful thinking) and our owners were down (wishful thinking given Lacob's mancrush) then this would open the gates to Howard, even with Jefferson and Biedrins weighing us down. Honestly, I might do it for one of Cleveland's less exciting picks.

Bazemore leads Santa Cruz Warriors to Victory

Still a little surprised that Bazemore did not get more play on Ws, but showing what made him a summer league sensation in his first D-league game.

A plan for this year and the future

Let's assume for this post, that we cannot trade the #7 for Iggy. I think that is a gimme for us, but I don't see the 76ers doing it. My first move would be to trade with New Orleans for Okafor....

"Jazz Fan (SLC) I need an update on the Jazz. Trading into the draft? Chad Ford (1:44 PM) Knowing Kevin O'Connor ... you can be sure they are trying. They're intrigued by a number of players if they can get somewhere between 10-20. My guess is Devin Harris, Al Jefferson and Paul Milsap are the bait."

I think Perry Jones might be the pick if Davis, MKG, Beal, Drummond, Robinson, and Barnes are gone. Chad Ford wrote in a chat, "I disagree. Perry Jones is SKILLED. He can do everything. His game isn't just about athleticism. The question is whether he will assert himself, whether he gets in the right situation for his skill set, whether he keeps working on his game. On physical talent + basketball skills ... Jones is the second best player in the draft. But when you watch him play, you just question how much he wants it. That's why so many are frustrated with him." We need a slashing three to play with Klay and Curry. We would go from being one of the smallest teams to one of the larger teams in basketball.

Why is there a lack of desire for Pau?

51

The link is to ESPN player rankings where Pau is ranked #11. I know that these rankings leave a lot to argue about, but I think it is pretty indisputable that Pau is at least a top 5 center. We do not have a player on our roster that is nearly as good as he is. Why are we not going after him when it seems like he is very available? We are willing to give up everything we have to rent Dwight for half a season, but we won't make an attempt at Pau who we would have for a couple more years. The guy at worst has some understandable emotional issues (having your fiance cheat on you with a teammate combined with trade rumors will shake anybody up). What would bring his confidence back like hearing the love at Roaracle. Skilled 7 footers who can play defense are pretty rare. Letting him go somewhere else is the Warrior (Fredo) move. For once, I want the Warriors to look smart and the Lakers to look like Shmucks, let's steal Pau like we stole Baron before We Believe.

Pau Gasol Trade

29

David Lee, Dorrell Wright, and Monta Ellis for Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace, and Devin Ebanks. It works for everybody. Warriors get best big man to play for us since at least Chris Webber. Lakers get another scorer to take the load off Kobe. Monta will not have to be the distributor because he can play off Kobe. It also makes Lakers a more desirable location Dwight Howard. MWP needs a change of scenery and so does Pau. Even if MWP continues to be stinking pile of poo, the upgrade at power forward/center would be more than worth it.

Bogut out for most of season

22

I think it would be worth exploring a trade with the Bucks for Bogut. If they want to win this year, which they might. They might take a healthy Lee in a trade for a hurt Bogut. We might have to take back a bad contract back or give up a young player, but this might be our best chance at a real center.

7 Seconds or Less

I am very excited about the depth of the Warriors. Yes, it has been one game, but Charles Jenkins looks like he is for real. Klay showed more athleticism than I expected (I am hoping the shot...

What does everyone think about the idea of putting in a bid on Josh Howard? If he is 80% of what he was, he would be the best perimeter defender on the Warriors, an offensive upgrade for our bench, and an intriguing trade chip if we fell out of playoff contention.

Kyrylo Fensenko. This is my argument for thinking small. Chandler is gone. Nene is going to be way overpriced. The Kings lucked into Hayes for $5 million/year. Jeff Foster is gone. Fesenko is a pretty good defender who we could have for cheap. He is never going to make you feel great having him on your team, but with Monta and Steph as our two guards, we could use a little defense behind them. I see no problem with keeping our powder dry for next season and just trying to keep the team serviceable.

A Warrior Fan's idea for how you can get Turner without a draft pick

I apologize if this is a weak post, but I am a Golden State fan and I had an idea I wanted to run it by Minnesota fans. I saw that many of you are so eager for Turner that you are willing to take...

Iverson!

Here is an unconventional signing, but think about a backcourt of Iverson and Ellis. Can any Western team, with the exception of the Rockets, keep up with that backcourt? Miami is chasing Odom,...

Playoff bound?

The Warriors are one of if not the deepest teams in the league. If we play true Nellie ball, why can't we make the playoffs.
