Cav lost his mojo?
Cav lost his mojo? The stage 3 sprint today in the Tour of Oman saw Cavendish with the speed and position to go for the win, when suddenly he gives up with IMHO plenty of room still to go around the left of Nacer Bouhanni (who does sprint rather wildly in Cav's defense). So has Cav lost his nerve after his Qatar crash and when will Austin Powers find Cav's mojo and get it back to him in time for the Continental season? Watch the sprint from around 2 minutes in the video clip courtesy of Tour of Oman via Steephill.tv

Dave and the Bike - 15 minutes of hilarious comedy
listen from 34.15 to 49.20 of the link(1st 34 minutes are other funny stories and various songs)
This ficticious comedy is courtesy of CBC radio's Vinyl Cafe and Stuart MacLean: "Dave is aching to try his neighbour Ted Anderson’s new, expensive racing bike. Determined to discover the joys of riding an Italian racing bike, Dave hoists himself onto Ted’s treasured steed - even though it is strapped to the roof of Ted’s car. . ."

Bert is NOT in yellow ! Really, actually, YES, Andy keeps jersey!!!
OK here are the FACTS my friends:
1/ cast your FANatical memories back to the Prologue: Andy lost 42 seconds to Bert due to wet conditions, so late last night Bert kindly donated back those seconds, as he is so very sorry for the antics up the Bales climb, he is giving back the Bales advantage PLUS the prologue advantage.
2/ and Andy is really really sorry he did not stop by the roadside and quaff a few Leffe's waiting for Bert during stage 3 when Bert got caught behind that crash and then later broke a spoke/sprung a leaky tire. So Andy is giving back Bert those 1min 13 seconds.
3/ and again, now obviously Bert will give Andy back the 39 seconds from yesterday.
DO THE GC MATH : Bert is supposedly 1st on GC by 8 seconds - 42 seconds prologue refund to Andy from Bert + 73 seconds stage 3 refund to Bert from Andy - 39 seconds yesterday = a big fat ZERO !!!
So . . . Andy and Bert are should be TIED for yellow, so what the heck is all the fuss about anyways if Bert only on paper has an 8 second lead ???
My (obvious) point - this is RACING !!! Please everyone enjoy the RACING, not want all the RACING to stop anytime the RACING has RACING incidents - OK?
Peace out, love you all, enjoy the 6 more days of beautiful combat on the roads leading to Paris, yahoo!!

A few words to get us started, courtesy of cyclingnews.com, by Laura Weislo:
The Ahoy Sports Palace in Rotterdam will be the site of the next round of the European Six Day season, and all the top riders will take to the boards in search of glory from January 7-12. Bruno Risi will continue his good-bye tour with partner Franco Marvulli, and Danish Madision World Champions Alexander Rasmussen and Michael Mørkøv will also be vying for the win. But the home-town Dutch crowd will have its hopes in a new pairing between long-time Six Day stalwart Danny Stam and the young Belgian Iljo Keisse.

Thoughts and prayers to Pedro, his wife, and two children
from CyclingNews:
" Pedro Horrillo has had a few bad crashes during his professional career, started in 1998 with Vitalicio Seguros after completing his studies in philosophy at university, but he's never fallen 60 metres down a ravine before. His dramatic accident happened on a curve while descending the Culmine di San Pietro 65 kilometres into stage eight. His bike was found by the rescue team before his body.
"He was unconscious when he was transported by helicopter to the hospital of Bergamo," Rabobank's doctor Gert Leinders said. "When he woke up, my colleagues put him artificially in a coma for 24 hours. His situation is very serious but stable. We have to be careful of the complications that can occur."
Fractures of his upper leg, a knee and vertebrae were reported as well as a "very complicated trauma at his thorax," Dr Leinders said. "The most difficult problem to treat is his respiration."
Horrillo's wife is expected to arrive in Bergamo on Sunday. The 34-year-old Rabobank rider is a father of two. He's known a writer since he has had a column in Spanish daily El Pais for many years. He was a stage winner at the 2004 Paris-Nice and at the 2005 Volta a Catalunya. Fluent in Spanish, Basque, Italian and English, he's also one of the best domestiques and strategists in modern cycling. "
