Eagles All Decade Team (defense)
DE

Trent Cole- He has been a monster ever since we drafted him out of Cincinnati in 05. He hustle on every play and is a terror for opposing offensive lines wherever he lines up. He has 47 sacks since he came to the Eagles and is one of the best run defenders in football. There was no doubt he deserved to be on this list.

Hugh Douglas- This man was beast for the early decade teams. He was one of the best pass rushers in football while with the Eagles. Having a total of 40 sacks in 4 years this decade, he was my other choice for the DE position. He left Philly in 03 to go to Jacksonville (where careers go to die), but came back in 04 for the Super Bowl year. Though he didn't do much in his last year, his first 3 years put him on this list automatically.
DT

Corey Simon- Dominant force in the first part of the decade for the Eagles. Picked in the first round of the 00 draft, he set the rookie record for sacks with 9.5. He was one of the best DT in the game with the Eagles, but had trouble towards the end of his time with the Eagles. Though he had his troubles, he had 32 sacks as an Eagle in 5 seasons with us, but he could have done more if he only didn't decide to let the money go to his head.

Mike Patterson- The most underrated DT in the game. He has been a force since he came to the Eagles in the 05 draft. He is the clog in the middle that has helped the Eagles have one of the better rushing defenses in football. Though he doesn't have a ton of sacks, he makes up for that with the way he clogs up the middle and creates lanes for the linbackers to get to the running back.
LB

Carlos Emmons- It is a thin position at the outside linebacker positions, but I had to choose 2 of them. First off is Carlos Emmons. He was a very productive player here with the Eagles during his 4 years here. He was consistent throughout and played the position well him JJ's defense.

Jeremiah Trotter- I have got to say, he is my favorite defensive player that the Eagles have had during my lifetime. He was a force when he first started for the Eagles in 99, but once the century turned, he was the man at the MLB for the Eagles. Though he left in 02 for a payday with the Deadskins, he came back and won his starting position back in 04 on our way to the Super Bowl. He was here until the 07 training camp, but got cut because of a bum knee and now after a year off, he is back with the Eagles and is not playing to bad. This guy is without a doubt the best MLB in the decade.

Dhani Jones- Not a lot to pick from for this position, so I had to go with him. Though Shawn Barber played well for us, he only did it for one season. Dhani was a decent LB and made some good plays, though he will always be remembered for his guitar dance after every tackle. He played well and was the best that we had at the other outside LB position this decade.
CB

Troy Vincent- He may be the only guy that the Eagles let go and played well on the next team he played on. But, while with the Eagles, he was a Pro-Bowler almost every year and was considered one of the best corners in football. He was so good during his time with the Eagles, he was elected to the Anniversary Team in 07.

Sheldon Brown- Maybe the most underrated corner in football, he has been a consistent force since he gained Vincent's starting spot in 04. He has been our shutdown corner since Vincent left. He is known for his big hits and the way he shuts down opposing WR. Also, he is one of the toughest players on the Eagles because he has played with a hamstring injury throughout the year and still played at a Pro Bowl caliber level. (That is my favorite hit of all time).
S

Brian Dawkins- Weapon X is one of the best safties in the history of the NFL. This guy was the best player in one of the best defenses in Eagles history. He could be on this list for a multitude of things he has done, but really I don't need to explain them. The best Eagle during this decade, even ahead of McNabb.

Michael Lewis- He was here for most of the decade and played well. Even though he was suspect against the pass, he stilled played the best next to Dawkins throughout the decade. He had 9 picks in his time with the Eagles. Though there were other people in consideration, Lewis was the best of the bunch with the Eagles.
Just wanted to let everyone enjoy 08 again. Its a good video.
Eagles All Decade team (offense)
Phillyphan9208 takes a pretty solid crack at an Eagles all decade offensive team. Actually, at least on offense this team pretty much picks itself.
