I know it's not the most important stat, but I enjoy this little WHIP nugget:

If the playoffs started today, and assuming the playoff teams are the Men of Mantis, Rays, Yankees and either White Sox or Twins, then only 2 playoff pitchers have a better WHIP than the top 3 Rangers. 

Lee:  .98

Danks: 1.15 or Pavano: 1.16

Lewis: 1.17

Garza: 1.18

Wilson: 1.21

That makes me giddy.

He is pitching in Buffalo vs the Durham Bulls, and he's perfect through 8.  He's got International League hitting leader, and too cool for the minor leagues Hank Blalock out 3 times.  Hopefully this will jinx him. 

This 75 word minimum thing is for the birds!  How am I possibly going to fill this space?  Oh, Juaquin Benoit pitches for the Bulls, maybe he'll make it into the game, too.  Fun stuff.
